I was reading the www.magicthegathering.com Exteneded meta wrap up and I saw a deck called "Spirit Stompy". I was wanted to know if anyone had the decklist that was played in one of the two GP that it showed up?

Okie thanks for the link. I like the idea of the deck. Kami of the Ancient Law seems like a good meta call. There must be a way to further improve the Tallowisp engine. I would think that cards like Glacial Ray or Kodoma's Reach would improve the game plan. Changelings are also a must like Nameless Inversion and Chamilion Colosus.. GW/rb may be a good way to go if you use Kodama's Reach for excel and fixin'. CC with Armadillo Cloak and lots of mana sounds good for the win to me!

If you go GW/splash there are a ton of "playable" (I kinda hate enchantments) Glare, Moldervine Cloak, Armadillo Cloak. Phyrexian Arena, and some other stuff that I can't think of right now.

You should play the deck first then get back to us when you figure out how it works.

The reason the Tallowisp engine is good is because it is a g/w beatdown deck with a synergistic tutor plan. The deck isn't combo. It beats down with creatures (spirit and non) and tutors up ridiculous enchantments to smash rdw, doran, etc.

It's basically "cloak on a troll" 2008. Tallowisp just lets you get Griffin Guide, Temporal Isolation, (obv cloak) and whatever other auras you need. Worship locks down your aggro MUs. Combo gets destroyed by chants, worship lock (for ideal), lifegain (situationally for TEPS). Control is a tough MU from what I understand, but isn't impossible.

Don't add Glacial Ray. Cheeks will kill you.
