| When I first joined this site, it seemed like there were a couple of legacy mini's per day. Now, it always seems like there are no more legacy players playing mini's, all the mini's come up short. In general, where have they all gone? Is there an online tournament site that is more popular with legacy players, or have they for the most part gone to playing IRL? |

| The reason is because I've been too busy with school to make those Legacy minis since I run roughly 75% of the site's Legacy tournaments. |

I'm sad as well for the decline of Legacy here...but can't blame judges for not sacrificing all their time for the League.
However, it seems to me that the Legacy Trials are also getting less...? Two each month, where there used to be one every week ? |

| I used to be an active member in Magic-league. I was heavily into legacy as I still am IRL. The problem is that whenever I tried to test online I would test against the crappy burn decks. Bad thresh builds and overall just terrible players. They would say things like "well you drew soo many counters, or soo much removal, or you got what you needed at just the right time noob." Honestly I couldn't deal with that kind of harrassment as I shouldn't have to deal with it. I'm a solid player with good fundamentals and realisticly I can test with the source players on mws and get the results that "testing" really needs. Magic-league does well with extended and standard, but theres no innovation behind eternal formats and it makes the same three decks really just irritating to play against as well. The fun thing about legacy is there is no best deck. Anything on any given day can give a round house kick to the metagame. Thats why it seems that people don't like playing this format. Which makes me sad. |

While there ARE more burn decks around here than there should be (given their bad results), I think that M-L Legacy right now is fine...the past Trials saw a range of decks do well, like
Aggro-Loam / Trinket Angels / Ichorid / Storm Combo / Goblins / Thresh / Enchantress...
I also haven't really had problems with opponents insulting me or calling my wins lucky...I can understand it annoys you though, as I run into that sometimes when testing on MWS against unknown opponents (outside of the League). |
