Does this actually win? Looks like any deck packing Tormod's Crypt or any Anti-Affinity basically owns them, and with just 2 wishes and 2 teachings not sure if you can find the solutions for that...

What ever happened to Leylines and Crypts? the pros just didnt run them for some reason. If that continues to happen thats the only way any type of deck like this will compete.

this deck is amazing...capable of winning on the opponents EOT or yours for those pesky counter decks that tap out and EOT to draw cards and whatnot...

i like it and am attempting to learn how to play it...it is by far one of the hardest decks i've come across to play...it's so easy to fizzle...off to testing it some more...!

If you don't have a whole lot of money and need a deck to play. This is the deck for you, most of the decks cards cost a dollar or less and se I would definetly start practicing if you don't have a whole lot of cards or money to spend on a tournament.

I've been kicking this deck around for the past few days, and all I can come up with is that I love it. It's got a great design, it's VERY fun to play, and overall it's pretty consistent for the most part.

How this deck works:
Sacrifice your eggs to fix your mana and draw cards, sac lotus blooms to float mana, ghost quarter yourself to thin your deck, then play second sunrise - everything you sacrificed comes back into play. Eventually you'll draw your entire deck, and you get infinite mana with 2+ blooms and Second Sunrise, use Conjurer's Bauble to put Sunrise into your empty deck and draw it.

How you actually win:
You can win by recurring Pyrite Spellbomb and pinging your opponent inf times, by decking him w/ Cephalid Coliseum, or by going Cunning Wish for Brain Freeze.

How to beat it:
Like the ppl above me stated, Leylines, Crypts, and Anti-Affinity cards work, you can also use Meddling Mage naming Second Sunrise, Chalice of the Void for 1, Rule of Law/ Arcane Laboratory, Gilded Light, or Orim's Chant.

this deck, i think, can not be played anymore. too many people have a trinket mage package in their deck and board leyline/ crypts. i played it alot last march before the last ptq and discovered crypt sux against you. i really think too many people will have trinket mages in their deck and/or leylines. to be honest, i think the reason why it did well at worlds last year is because no one say it coming. but now, its one of those tier 2/3 decks you just need to be aware of and properly prepare for.

I played the deck a couple of times and it still does ok, but aggro usually runs it over. extremly resiliant to discard and land d but i found my self fetching the brain freeze out of the board to win most games. i will play a few more and let ya know if anything changes.

It's a combo deck, it doesn't pack it to aggro. The only reason to use the freeze in the baord is if they have a fanatic, or a recurring source of damage.

Does this deck still pack some punch, or is there too much GY hate?

Considering it functions basically purely using the graveyard I don't see the point at the moment in running it over dredge.

Well, I see a trend with decks cutting GY hate to a minimum, and this deck can play around Tormod's Crypt, unless you are unlucky.

I'm new to Extended as a whole, I started playing early Time Spiral.. so maybe I don't know all the key aspects to it. From what I can see, when I play it, this deck seems to be about 1-2 turns slower than Dredge, but has more answers for the long game. Is this worse than being able to go off earlier, but being more vulnerable?
