William Spaniel -- funny writer, terrible at magic.

2 out of 10 for that decklist.

It looks pretty cool actually. As long as you hit the right colours ass needed this deck would be a real hassle to deal with.

But 4 Gemstone Mines and zero Urborg seems like a recipe for disaster.

As long as you hit the right colors. Garruk and colossus need GG. Crusher needs RR. Doran needs BGW. So if you can get the right colors, you're very lucky.

Not that good. ONe the numbers could be improved(4 garruk?) and it loses to anything blue. Counterspells and Pickels lock don't care how good your creatures are if they are still alive.

this deck just stretches itself too much. even if it did work i would rather play a more consistent deck.

The deck would work limited to 3 colours. Countryside Crusher isn't worth screwing up the manabase. If you just go GWB, you'll have a solid deck and don't need to run crap like Nameless Inversion to patch up your manabase.

I've run a handful of games (about half a dozen) and I haven't had any mana problems, believe it or not. Also, it is actually very strong since every turn, you're dropping a huge threat. The Garruks feel out of place (they're definitely the card I'm least happy to draw) and I think he vastly overrates Taurean Mauler, but I'm not sure what I'd replace him with as you really don't want to lower the changeling count.

I do think he's on to something though - the presence of Nameless Inversion, Chameleon Colossus, and all the tribal lands makes it fairly easy to do silly things with the mana base.

Edit: Also, the Shriekmaws are uninspiring. With Countryside Crusher, Horizon Canopy, and Gemstone Mine, there are very few times this deck gets to five mana, and with the exception of Shriekmaw, the deck doesn't want to.

I'm going to try dropping Flamekin Bladewhirl and Goldmeadow Stalwart in in the place of Garruk and Shriekmaw, and see what happens.
