NIghtshade stinger and Oonas prowler are not strong cards in terms of t1.x card pool. Your deck is pretty much what GWB rock is, but with less powerful creatures.
There just are not that many power black creatures, if you really want to keep black as your primary color, here is a few guys you could consider, i don't think the deck is tier one, but you could build it for your metagame and perhaps find a niche that could destroy specific decks.
Hypnotic spector
Withered wretch
Dauthi Slayer
Hand of Cruelty
Korlash Hier to blackblade
Tombstalker
PLague Sliver
Shriekmaw
Spiritmonger
I notice black has no good 1 drops, boy do i miss sacromancy and carnophage...
If you like playing mono black, thats cool, i hope i gave you a few ideas, but if you want the cold, hard truth, Rock is pretty much strickly better then this deck...
have fun. |

| additionally if you're going to splash green for goyf...Black as Vindicate with a white splash which opens up room to get Grunt. In 1x i'd take a set of Vindicates over a set of Goyfs... |

| Nantuko Shade is fucking terrible. Such a has-been of a card. Hell, even in it's prime it wasn't that good. LOL No idea why people still use it... |

I will ignore the trolling from the idiotic morons.
Hank, yes, it would be a "Doran" with a lesser pool - no gaddock sb, can't really use deed (it will hurt me just as much or more than opponent) , no witness and, yesh, no doran. I could try to splash white for vindicate over putrefy, and that might actually be a good idea, I will see. About the creatures, I think that the specter would be a bit slow for a 20 land deck, same for plague, korlash and monger. The dauthi slayer is actually a nice idea and would fit in prowler spot, but the prowler will usually deal the same amount of damage with the plus of being able to block. Tombstalkers dislike goyfs, shriekmaw is not that nice in the format for creature removal (5 mana is way too much, 1B for terror is not nice also), hand of cruelty has no evasion and is not that hard hitter, wretch can be nice also, and I will consider him, maybe over stinger. I am trying to convert 1.5 MBA for xt, and yeah, it is hard, no nice B drop .
Black_dog, I like the vindicate idea, I will try to use it over putrefy, but I think that I will stick with goyf. On the other hand, I do like white 1cc drops , that would help the aggro look of the deck...
Jacois, Nantuko Shade has its moments of glory, and it is a nice way to spend mana when I have nothing else to do.
Thorns, bad moon would be way too slow in the deck.

I know this is a little off topic here, but when did Nantuko Shade ever become bad?
I mean,I've personally won games with him and have seen many more games won with him. I run a control deck and play 3 as an alternative win condition.
I mean, yeah, now he's probably lost a little bit, with the split second spells,Pithing Neddle, and all that, but he's still able to get in there against control and swing for a few turns,at least one before they can deal with him.
As far as this deck goes,20 lands is way to few. That's just me though. It seems to me you should sideboard 2 Swords of Fire and Ice and maybe 1 Sword of Light and Shadow. Again that's just me.
I've actually got a Mono-Black aggro deck(actually Mono-Black,not splashing anything) and is halfway decent, though I think it got slammed on here a while back because I was running Dark Confidant(could be an idea for this deck). Oh well,I'll post for anyone who'd be interested. |

Nantuko Shade "fucking terrible"? Are you out of your mind?
It's not a great card but for black its good Efficient for mid-game when you dont have squat to do with lands cept do damage.
Yeah if you're running Mono Black Aggro he's a stable in the deck as much as Confidant. |

| Dooby, if your list is xt, please post it here, I would like to take a look. I tried to run sword of fire and ice in the MD, but I removed them for the sole 3 jitte. I am liking the deck with the lions and isamaru, they are a nice replacement for sarcomancy/carnophage, might actually run 1 more. Maybe kataki is not a good idea sb, I will think about something else and remove them... |
