Ok, this is a semi noob question but I've had a few arguements with some people on the subject.
If in our example I have an "Ischron Scepter" in play and I attempt to tap it for what ever spell happens to be on it while in response my opponent uses something to tap the ischron scepter in response. Since tapping is part of the cost, not the ability on the stack, does the opponent attempting to tap your artifact make any differense in weather or not the ability goes off?
thanks. |

| Nope. No difference. Everything before the : happens before your opponent can respond, so if he tries to tap the stick in response to your tapping it, he taps it just fine, but it's already tapped, and nothing particularly noteworthy will happen. |
