Haakon decks we're never strong. At first, the idea sounds cool, "hmm a combo that can kill any creature in play, that's soo cool!". But the deck is very inconsistent, because you need 3 things for the deck to work:

- You need Haakon in your hand, and your deck has 4 and no card drawing or tutor cards.

- You need cards to discard Haakon, in this case you have Oona's Prowler and Smallpox, which is fine.

- You need Nameless inversion or Crib Swap for the combo to work. You have 4 of each which is fine too.

I would put Liliana Vess or Hoarder's Greed to help you get the pieces you need. Youthful knight? Try a card that can grant you life gain, like Knight of Meadowgrain or Changeling Hero. Your deck should do fine this way. Wink

Haakon is cool but, it is very inconsistent and the lack of really strong Knights hinders the deck.

My fav is the Black and Red variant though.

Haakon hasn't been consistent since we lost court hussar. That was a good card drawing engine.

yeah, but not completing your "combo" (which is the fun part) enough times isn't fun.

by the why, why you don't you try running wings of velis vel instead of mirror entity or crib swap? also, you can use conspiracy so that you're able to play any creature from your grave. blood pet + conspiracy + haakon + tendrils of agony ftw? :p you can probably find a T2 combo like this, maybe with grapeshot. on magic online you can do that combo with stuff like consume spirit if you use the nekrataal avatar (seriously, the nekrataal avatar just screams "COMBO TIME!" all over it)

oh, and if you run blue, you'll have access to the "draw X and discard X" spells, which is always a plus.

hope I was helpful Wink

Having a Haakon out allows you to replay Crib swap or anything with changeling endlessly from your graveyard.
