Why are there no Invitationals anymore?

What about making an T2 Invitational on the 22nd of Decembre?

Would be ver nice to see an Invitational here again.

why the 22nd of December? perhaps for personnal reasons? hmmm?

Invitationals suck. They don't run masters for like 2 months and the league goes all hectic in order to get an invite.

Just do an invitational with easy access
example
top 50 constr
top 25 limited
t4 of every trial

those that can't get in, won't win a master anyway. And this way, the quality of the games will be somewhat higher.

I disagree. Someone who has just joined the league might be a very good player and have a high real DCI rating, yet won't be able to participate in the Invitational.

This has been argued before and I will say the same thing I said then: Not everyone cares about their rating, especially not an online rating. My rating is rather low because I hardly ever play league matches or tourneys because I just don't care. Once in a while, I'll join a tourney when I have time or I'm bored, and play half-ass because I just want to have fun.

Sure, an Invitational would make the overall challenge and level of difficulty higher, but it is already possible to make minis for XXXX+ ratings, so why does it matter so much? Besides, what does an Invitational bring more?

If you don't care about your rating and don't care enough to play in many league matches and tourneys, why do you suddenly care if there's an invitational? If you don't care about every other aspect of an online rating/tournament structure, why care specifically about one or two particular online tournaments a year?

Why 22nd of decembre?

Cuz it is a Saturday where most of the people have time and you can sleep long on the next day.
It would also be the date for the next master.

Format should be T2 or Extended, because of the upcoming GPs and PTQs.

I would say:

Top 50 of Constructed, Top 10 of Eternal and Limited.
Top 3 Teams of course and Top 1 or Top 2 of each Trial.
Or Top 2 only if it has 60+ participants.

I don*'t care about who is qued, i would just like to play an Invitational, cuz i missed all of them last year...

New players would just have to play a little, or get t4 in a trial, which is not extremely hard.
And no offence Thorns, but ur rating is low because ur not a good player and u try decks that can't work. I've seen u give alot of advice on the forums to peopl building a deck, and in general that advice was poor.
Many of the high ranked players on ML test decks too for tourneys and trials, but u won't see them get alot of losses even when testing because they can tell a good deck from a bad one pretty fast and they don' tmake some may play errors.
