I got tired of waiting for an official Lorwyn patch. And the ones I could find (like the Lorwyn patch url listed in the #apprentice channel) have many glaring errors. Nevermind the recent updates Oracle. Card wording updates for Masters edition. The Great Creature update and so forth.
I personally use Mindless Automaton under MaxOS X, and would like feedback. Does my patch work with Apprentice itself? Is it good and dandy without glaring errors? (You can't fault me for all the Tap abilities that miss the first :, Gatherer itself is doing that to me!)
I make no warranties over this and have my fingers crossed that it works for people. For the bold, please check out http://homepage.mac.com/badger/brefin/jtp_lorwyn_appr.zip. And whatever feedback good or bad, please post it here.
Thank you.

| It has come to my attention that while the patch works for Mindless Automaton on my machine, it does not work with Apprentice. I'm currently going over my files with a fine toothed comb to work out the kinks. |

Thanks for bothering to update when magic-league admin no longer will.
I played the patch on two-apps solitaire and that works fine.
Missing colons on tap symbols don't really matter, what's a little more unsightly are the snow mana symbols. They're retaining some sort of templating mark and appear on the cards as oSi. |

| Hmmm, so it is. Silly Gatherer being incomplete or inconsistent in its text formatting. Heh. If I remember when the next set is added, I'll try and fix it in the output. |

| Another glitch seems to have been brought about by an automated corrector of the colour of Kobolds, Pacts, and costless spells. It evidently watches for phrases in the text like "is red" and consequently makes Thought Nibbler, Thought Eater and Thought Devourer (with text "is reduced") have gold borders when they come into play. Other cards that change to specific colours like the Possessed creatures from Torment are also affected. |

Ok, ended up in a mood to work on the script that filters Gatherer's text spoiler output back into a text file proper. So also played with my card output script to fix the Snow mana and color issues.
Snow mana should now show as S.
Cards that are a color should show correctly (including Ghostfire and Transguild Courier)
And thing which are not a color (Possessed Aven, Thought Nibbler) shouldn't get extra colors.
