Hello,
I've just installed a new wireless network adapter, and I'm trying to get Apprentice to work. When I try to connect selecting "Waiting for a call," I get the following error:
Access violation at address 0046B945 in module 'Appr.exe'. Read of address 00000008.
Please help me. I found a thread where someone had a similar problem, but it didn't seem to have a solution. Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance. |

| You can always try re-downloading Apprentice... |

Yeah, that's what the other thread said.
I've redownloaded it numerous times. Always the same problem.
I also can't connect to MTGO, and I've been talking to a bunch of folks on the wizards boards, too. I'm pretty positive that the problem lies in some kind of corruption in my operating system (WinXP Pro SP2). I tried two different wireless adapters, and I think an unsigned driver from the first one caused the corruption. But, I've rebuilt my winsock registers and TCP/IP, used a restore point, and yet I'm still having trouble. I don't know enough about networking to have any more ideas about where the connectivity issue originates.
If there are any os gurus, I could definitely use their advice.
-Thanks |
