I would suggest just playing counter sliver and add the 4 virulents instead of other 1 drop slivers... then you have a decent deck and with Winged Sliver they evade, if you want to poision your opponent more often i suggest adding more carddraw (maybe ponder and brainstorm) with those + reshuffles you should get 2 virulents quite often and you dont hurt the deck at all. Here an example for an list:
http://www.germagic.de/dc/deck.php?id=8268

in that list you may remove the plated for virulents and maybe the 2 essence for ponder or worldy tutor...(testing is all you need from there). But for a good poision sliver build i would rate Aether vial, Crystaline sliver and winged sliver pretty high, beside the virulent of course) but i dont think you should go a poison only way its just not constant enough (dont forget that fow exist in this format).

edit: or just build an surivival deck with 4 virulent 1 anger 1 wonder and 1 shadow and 1 crystaline.... Here something i threw together in a few minutes its fun to play and if opponent has no counters/cant counter survival its not bad Wink

Creatures
1 Crystalline Sliver
1 Shadow Sliver
1 Viridian Zealot
2 Flametongue Kavu
1 Gaddock Teeg
1 Meddling Mage
3 Wall of Roots
4 Virulent Sliver
1 Anger
1 Wonder
4 Birds of Paradise
2 Squee, Goblin Nabob
1 Gaea's Herald
1 Loaming Shaman
Spells
4 AEther Vial
4 Survival of the Fittest
4 Enlightened Tutor

Lands
1 Plateau
3 Taiga
1 Volcanic Island
3 Tropical Island
2 Forest
3 Savannah
1 Tundra
4 Windswept Heath
4 Wooded Foothills

No sideboard nor i say this build is good or something, just to give you an idea what i was thinking of Wink

If you're worried of counterspells, you can side Root Sliver. I also think Survival is a nice way to go. But remember that you won't always get Virulent Sliver, so Muscle and Sinew Sliver are great additions.

The problem with poison slivers is that it's not that efficient.

To kill an opponent, you need to hit with 10 creatures. Since your opponent starts at 20 life, each poison counter (assuming you poison from the very first hit) is equivelant to two damage.

Using Muscle Sliver and Sinew Sliver, you can often get a sliver to 2/2 or usually bigger, which creates a more effective way of killing the opponent.

In my opinion, poison will only get you anywhere if you kill the opponent out of nowhere, in one turn.

The effect "poisonous" is cummulative.
