THE Basis of this thread, is to promote thinking

NETDECK"R"US...--- promotes sales which is not the goal of this thread.

Note: bad deck idea will be posted as always but keep in mind you may update your posts. as (your deck progresses)

some format guidelines need to be addressed

a) Do not post decks you don't want critic'ed
b) Be original
c) when posting a comment alway be polite and as positive as possible since most decks are IRL(IN REAL LIFE) decks. tho i notice a few people can never be polite or positive.
d) try to keep your posts as current as possible

EXAMPLE of proper post
RW: Heaven -N- Hell

Spells
4x Deathrender
4x Wrath Of God
4x Mind Stone
4x Martyr Of The Sands
4x Greater Gargadon
2x Akroma, angel of wrath
4x Martyr of the ashes
1x Numot,the devastator
4x Bogardan Hellkite
4x Mogg Fanatic
4x Oblivion Ring
1x Scourge of Kher Keep

Lands
4x Ancient Amphitheater
4x Battlefeild Forge
2x Flagstones of Trokair
1x Academy Ruins
1x forbidden watchtower
1x wanderwine hub
1x urza's factory
2x snow-covered plains
3x snow-covered mountians

Side Board:
3x pyroclasm
3x pithing needle
3x dodecapod
2x Phyrexian Ironfoot
2x return to dust
1x spellburst
1x tormod's crypt

Comment:

the deck runs off deathrender + a sac outlet creature
so far it has done well at my local FNM with some good help of my sb shutting down alot of decks after my side. worst mu is prolly mono blue but i didn't face it since my meta is 90% aggro 10% counter decks

vs control.
sideboard in artifacts
play my artifacts and use ruins to bring them back to my deck
if they get controlled

vs aggro.
i have a 60% favorable match up unless it's extreme aggro with burn before side. the reason i played it.

problems:

mana.... most of it come in tapped so the mana base runs alot of white to minimize this but without solid mana fixers
this deck still runs pretty smooth.

mana problems 3-9 games i suppose but so far not game breaking problems.

None of the above aforementioned are enforced regulations or opinions of magic-league or it's affilates and magic-league
attains the sole right to EDIT as nessasary and if at sole discretion lock this thread or delete all of it content without prior notice.

2 jace beleren 9 island
3 incendiary command 7 mountain
3 wheel of fate 4 shelldock isle

I have always wanted to make a milling deck. So here it is:

4 Rites of Flourishing
4 Howling Mine
4 Dawn Charm
4 Pollen Lullaby
4 Wrath of God
4 Rule of Law
4 Broken Ambition
4 Forced Fruition
3 Dreamborn Muse

4 Adarkar Wastes
4 Brushland
2 Yavimaya Coast
4 Shimmering Grotto
5 Plains
3 Island
3 Forest

Turn 2 Mine, 3 Rites, 4 Forced Fruition seems good to me =)

following that up with a Rule of Law, and every card he plays is extremely painful haha

most decks there beat that saproling deck. also, unsummon + damnation = gg for you.

also, 22 forests in a mono-green with accel is too much.

2 [TSP] Kher Keep
4 [TSP] Terramorphic Expanse
1 [TSP] Forest (1)
4 [FUT] Graven Cairns

// Creatures
2 [TSP] Greater Gargadon
4 [TSP] Mogg War Marshal
4 [LOR] Shriekmaw
2 [TSB] Avalanche Riders
3 [10E] Nantuko Husk
3 [10E] Siege-Gang Commander
2 [PLC] Stingscourger
2 [TSP] Plague Sliver

// Spells
4 [10E] Incinerate
3 [CS] Grim Harvest
2 [10E] Loxodon Warhammer
2 [TSP] Sudden Death
4 [10E] Mind Stone

// Sideboard
SB: 4 [PLC] Extirpate
SB: 4 [10E] Distress (or Thoughtseize)
SB: 2 [10E] Phage the Untouchable
SB: 3 [TSP] Ancient Grudge
SB: 2 [TSP] Sulfurous Blast

Sudden Death Incinerate and Shriekmaw are used for removal. You can recur Shriekmaw over and over again with Grim Harvest.

Stingscourger can be used as an early timewalk or for a creature that is hard to deal with (once again you can get it back with harvest)

Riders are for pesky lands like urza's factory or Urborg.

Husk is a house with all the tokens.

I doubt I have to tell you the value of Seige Gang

Plague Sliver is in there because I wanted a fat critter who was black and there wasn't much to choose from. I don't have any korlash or I would probably play him and then include a couple of Urborg in the deck as well. Twisted abomination is another card I considered for this spot.

Sideboard
Extripate is usefull against most decks. I side it in VS Control only.

Thoughtseize (Distress)
Once again usefull agaisn't field. I sided in VS Tamorack and control.

Phage the Untouchable.
This is for Turbofog or any stupid Martyr decks that do nothing to win. I extipate the fogs and condems and hit them once with phage. I don't care how much life they gain because 1 hit with phage and game over.

Ancient Grudge
There are a lot of usefull artifacts right now. Howling Mine, Coldseel Heard, Colition Relic, The Rack
I run one Forest just to flash this back. It has proven to be a great sideboard card.

Sulfurous blast.
I side this in for any Tribal or Critter Deck
Kithkins, Elves, Treefolk etc.

I went 5-3 at states with this deck. I had 2 matches which came down to who topdecked first and it wasn't me in either case. I am currently playtesting Graveborn muse for some card drawing but this is my states list.

Take care

have you considered Dread instead of Plague Sliver/Korlash?

I considered Dread but it's 6 mana as opposed to 4 and three specific black. Thats very hard to get down sometimes. I like the fact that I can get a 5/5 sliver down turn 3. It's fat it's fast and will force a wrath if they have one.

also, since you run green for Ancient Grudge, you could as well just use Krosan Grip in sb vs artifacts... and deal with enchantments as well. Ancient Grudge is better vs The Rack, but against anything else Krosan Grip is in another league.

I see that you try to abuse Grim Harvest for what it is worth. This is good with Shriekmaw and Avalanche Riders, but I am more uncertain about Stingscourger. Contrary to the other two, he is simply weak unless you have Grim Harvest tech. I would take them out and increase the numbers of some of the key cards. Husk, Siege-Gang, Gargadon, Grim Harvest... or go to 4 Plague Sliver.

Take out one Kher Keep for one Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth.

With 5+ sac outlets, Threaten may be a quite okay sb card... better than Sulfurous Blast.

I had a lot of the same thoughts as you. Kher keep is essental. I would never go down below two. It's great for chump blocking for feeding the husk or the gargadon.
I decided not to play urborg because a lot of the teachings decks play it. They draw a lot more cards and it could be devestating if mine got blown up. I don't think it would be that helpful for me and there are times when it could hurt me by helping other players. Stingscorger is needed because there are a lot of high power creature which run black like the legendary elf which makes you discard for example. I have no way to deal with them other than stingscorger. It is also a great early card which can timewalk a player who invested all there mana into playing a fattie.
I also considered Krosan grip but there are no enchantments that I am afraid of. I can sack my critters to avoid oblivion ring. I can deny white mana with riders to get around stroy circle. With 3 grudge I get 6 uses which is better then 3 grips.
Sulfurous blast won me 2 matches at states. Once in responce to a Garruk Overrun vs elves. And once to sweep the board of Goblins vs Goblins. There simply isn't enough removal in the deck to beat some of the tribal decks.
