Hi Peoples,
The program formerly known as GO has been worked on some more and now supports drafting (only on a main server)
a screenshot can be found here: (high res, so you may need to scroll )

I would like to read your comments, as long as they are help/usefull. |

Haven't made up my mind yet..
I'll probably choose a new name this weekend.
Then again, it might be fun to let it have like... no name at all? |

1.) People seemed to confuse it with the japanese boardgame GO.
2.) There is no way of creating a decent google index, since project-go (some wildlife travel thingy) has it dominated.
3.) My IRC keeps highlighting on the word GO when used as a normal verb.
4.) It was only a project name, it was never intended to let it be the final name, therefor, not much thought was put into it.
5.) The name doens't properly reflect what the program is used for.. playing a cardgame with your pc (online)
of the top of my head... |

I think the stats at the left are useless. And I think a "color sort" option is missing, you could try to do smth like in netdraft where u can hide the colors u want in your picks, or like in modo where u can sort your picks by color.
The preview pic looks very good |

I'll make the draft stats 'hideable', by default im gonna leave them there, cause that way people know they exist.
for sorting the picks by color, that was what the draft stats are supposed to be for, but i can add some functionality to the draft stats object to also sort the list of actual cards by color and whatnot.
thx all btw for the positive comments, it keeps the motivation at high levels. |

As I was analyzing your draft picks, I happened to notice that you basically started a one-man draft and each of your picks was from the same pack, both with Timespiral and with Tenth Edition. The odd part of what I noticed is that your Timespiral pack had 16 cards in it. Is that intentional?
Oh yeah, my sister says hi. |

rotfl, it's a demo, i just picked the first card that came under the mouse.
the draft was TSP, 10E, 9E, with the TSP booster containing 16 cards (one for timeshifted)
the thing with the boosters is that they can be fully customized on the server.
say you want a crazy core ed. draft you could define a
booster pack like this
1 R 4E
1 U 4E
1 C 4E
1 R 5E
1 U 5E
..
1 C 8E
etc etc, the booster will contain 4E - 8E with a R, U and C from each set, total of 15 cards.
The default booster for each set is 3R, 1U and 11C.
You probably dont need to worry about this feature, as it is for server admins only.
I say hi back to your sister.... |

you could collapse enchantment, sorcery, instant, artifact and planeswalker into non-creature spells as the difference between these is rarely relevant in a draft. You care about enoug creatures first.
Then, there would maybe be room for another color index, namely "colored mana symbols" per color. As this is important for estimating if you will be able to splash, how much mana fixing you need etc.
(So if you have 4 spells with RR in the mana cost and 6 with just W, you will see a higher index at red than at white)
Also, it would be grand if you could manipulate your base while drafting, so that you can select a few cards or colors and check out the mana curve of your selection. Right now, with NetDraft, you can sort on mana cost, but you can't see in a glance how many of your 2-drops (for example) you actually intend to play. |
