Help me fix my Mono U Control. (t2)

2 Compulsive Research

From my experience, this deck works well against control decks, hit-and-miss against aggro and gets beaten against discard decks. I've been thinking of taking Kraken out for more draw. What should I do to this deck?

I would cut all of the guys other then Aeon, Tef, and Venser. You should run 26 lands with 2-4 being storage lands. I would split them up for the U/B and U/W lands. You need a lot of draw like Mystical Teachings and Careful Concideration or Foresee.

The only beaters that you really need are Aeon or Draining Whelk.

Mono U is really hard to play without a sweeping effect like the Disk. I had a mono U deck that did very well but I had a lot of artifact backup like Disk, Explosives, Serrated Arrows, and Aeliopile (spelling???) All of the non-counterspells offered card advantage, spot removal, or a reset botton. Then I ran a 4 threats and the rest was drawing or counters.

Shut down the 4 Dismal failure and the Unsumon and add Mystical Teachings. Going mono is not a good idea today so add B to run cards like damnation, extipate and Street wraith (for drawing)

Is it any better? Thinking of taking out Shadowmage for a couple of Brines.

I would change the guys to 4 Finkel, 2-4 Shapeshifter, 1 Tef, 1-3 Aeon, 1 Pickle, 1 Willbender or Tombstalker.

4 Damnations!!!!
