please reassure me...somebody today told me that you can target a wild cantor with a saffi and sac it infinetely...im pretty sure that is false because it would be played way more because it is very good.

+ any augur---wow
+ azorius herald---infinite life
+ basal sliver---infinite black mana

the list goes on with any sacrifice creature.

i told him that when the cantor changes zone it becomes a different card to the game but he was not ready to really listen...

wow..basically just vented...but also wanted to make sure i wasn't makin a fool of myself

Yeah, this needs another card to work...

Saffi + Karmic Guide (Not T2, but works in Legacy)

Saffi + Composite Golem + Enduring Renewal (Infinite UBR, T2 I believe...unless I am confusing golem with something else...)

Saffi + Deadwood Treefolk (T2 Legal, but have yet to find a relieble use for it)

Saffi + Eternal Witness (not T2 either, and not very good since you have to hard-cast Saffi again... I guess if you were playing Aluren it would be alright...)

Saffi + Loxodon Heirarch (fun T2 combo, but rarely works to any really Uber effect)

Saffi + Crypt Champion (mentioned above, but good anyhow)

Soul Warden + Loyal Retainers + Saffi (Legacy-legal Infinite Life....)

Saffi (x2) + Protean Hulk (T2, Lets ya search for a bunch of stuff if one Saffi is in library, get a bunch of tarmogoyfs, troll ascetics and another Saffi in play...)

Anyway, yeah she's a good card, but I'm just pointing out that there's a lot of use for her that a lot of people don't really use, mainly because a card combo that takes more than 2 cards rarely goes off and you can usually find a few 2 card combos that work faster and provide better win conditions...

It dosn't work to infinity. Only works the first time it goes to graveyard. Ask on Judges if you don't belive.

PS: I asked Judges and Flippi told me that. Just passing on the info.
