Decks based around one central theme

I played a 2hg ext today on modo and was paired with a guy who had a lot of cards that turned broken once our opponents had no cards in their graveyard, gravestorm, web of inertia, some enchantment that doesnt let them untap permanents, but the point is it was focused on his opponents not having cards in the yard and all the other cards were based around that

I am looking for any suggestions on a deck either for 2hg or just 1v1 casual ext that I could play on modo, preferably not too expensive, but any ideas would be appreciated, even decks based around one card with support cards, thanks
