I have a few questions based on morph creatures.
1) If I were to play Void, would morph creatures that are face-down count as 0 casting cost?
2) If a player activated a morph ability, could one respond with an instant spell (Fiery Temper, for example) to burn it before it flips? I'm guessing Sudden Shock would definitely work since it has split second, but not sure about other burn spells/abilities. |

1) Correct
2) Since morph is Static and not Actived, you can't respond to burn it before it flips. Split second only stops Actived abilities and spells so Sudden shock wouldn't work either.

Static abilities don't use the stack. It's like mana sources: You can unmorph, and sudden shock it (not in response), sudden shock will be on top of the stack ~ but the creature is still unmorphed. |

| Note that turning a card face-up is a special action that doesn't use the stack. That's why you can't respond it, not the fact Morph is a static ability. |

| Note that even if you play Sudden Shock in response to, say, Prodigal Sorcerer's activation, the Shock will resolve first, killing Tim, but Tim's ability will still be on the stack and resolve as usual. |

Note that Prodigal Sorcerer's ability is activated and would be on the stack regardless of split second spells.
Morph is a static ability but it is also a special action that doesn't use the stack. However if you unmorph something that has a "flip up" ability, that ability will go on the stack. |
