trouble loading decks in apprentice format

recently when i load decks that i have copied off the latest tournaments from apprentice formant i get this message
"file structure is invalid.load cancelled
if you try load OLD deck bases (from MWS 0.63): Use convert utility: old2newCONVERTER.exe first..."

what does it mean and what do i do?

Are you sure they are Apprentice (.dec) format and not MTGO (.dec) format.

MTGO has an encryption algorithm with which those .dec files are saved, hence they wouldn't be readable via MWS.

When I load an Apprentice deck into MWS it works fine. I've never had an error.
