Extended is by far my favorite format. It is usually very balanced and the metagame is generally very defined. And at the same time has alot of room for rogue decks to win in. Ive been playing extended and some block for the past month despite every tournament being type 2 or block. Type 2 as it is now (W/10th or w/out 10th) makes me want to hurl. Block is pretty fun. But extended just owns all. Probably the most skill intensive format, and how you build your deck is also very important. None of this "OH I KEEP DRAWING REMANDS OFF MY REMANDS LOL I WIN" Bullshit.

I love ext!
It's the only format I play...'cause I don't like type 2 and they don't play anything else locally.

errr...when is the ext season again, eh?

Yeah, but in extended, if you don't have something better to play off a Remand than another Remand, you're probably going to lose.

yes remand is in extended but it isn't played in over half the field. Many decks with blue in it don't play remand anyways.

I just find remand to be a VERY annoying card because litterally every deck in type 2 played it ( Back when i played type 2, like 4 months ago)

You play remand in extended? Fine thats cool, because that will probably be 1 of 1 or 2 players that i will see the whole day playing the card. And remand is much more in line with extended power level, having that shit in type 2 is even more ridonculous.

back in march when i top 8'd at a ptq i was first place going into the top 8 ( I scrubbed out in semi-finals due to me sucking so horribly i mourn about this everyday of my life)
you know how many remands i played against that day? None.

but really the type 2 sucking isnt JUST because of remand lol, im not that weird. Its the whole format in general. The whole format is a big luck sack in my view. Its where bad players win and good players lose because the bad players can just throw out whats in there hand with out any strategy and win almost everytime.

I like the MR block for it has some cool cards like the SoFI, witness, green beacon which I always enjoy playing, regardless of their individual power.

So imo this will be a great season Razz

It's strange how the same small group of players can make top 16 at damn near every event if all that is keeping them there is luck-sacking. Case in point, the current US and UK Nats. I recognize about half the players names in the top 20 of each event, and about a dozen of them all told are PT or GP winners, PT top 8'ers, repeat offenders, and just generally always the guys at the top tables. No skill there, no, just a bunch of bad players beating you by throwing out crappy hands without any thought to strategy whatsoever. There is no justice in the world when the guys who playtest and have more skill than you post results at every tourney they go to, and you're a nameless loser.

You're kind of like the guy who calls every girl he meets a lesbo, while they're sleeping with all your friends. Sucks, eh?

extended won't rotate until the large block AFTER lorwyn comes out, so thats in october 2008. until then nothing really great will change unless lowryn shakes the format up completely.

your the kinda guy who gets off by flaming on the forums eh? Your whole point about the top players at nationals being half pros doesn't hold water AT ALL.

First of all its NATIONALS, half the players there ARE pros. Second of all nationals isnt decided by just type 2, it is also decided by limited. GG faggot.

The point being, there wouldn't be any well known pros if they weren't more skilled than other players... the fact that they are still winning PTs and GPs and making top 16's in constructed events with cards from this block in standad and block events shows that getting lucky isn't as big a factor as being good. I used Nats as an example because it is going on right now, and the entirety of day one as well as the top 8 is decided by type 2. How does that not 'hold water'?

And nice name calling, you must be the kind of closet case that gets off calling people gay. I got one better. American?
