You are correct. A creature with 0 thougness or less will die the next time stated-based effects are checked (wich in this case is inmediatly after the creature comes into play).

The only real way to keep this guy around is through +1/+1 counters such as llanowar reborn but even then he still seems terrible.

No triggered (Graft, Primal Forcemage) or activated ability (Equip, Spike Feeder) will work. Only something that will give him the bonus as he's coming into play works (static abilities like Gaea's Anthem).

*Shrugs* then he is even worse than I thought lol makes me feel happy that my friend pulled a foil one thats the kind of thing I would normally open. Someone told me that worked at one point but I wasn't sure because if that was the case then you could use something like brute force to keep it around till eot and that didn't make much sense. Thanks for clarifying.

I always figured Force of Savagry was noob bait for Yu-Gi-Oh players. "OMG! Only 2G for a 8/0 monster! If I attack with it and it goes into blocking position, it's going to die though..."
