I think that Cabal Coffers - Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth mana engine is stronger than urzatron in some cases, namely in a Tooth and Nail deck because;

1) In Tooth and Nail, you almost always have lots of lands (Sakura Tribe Elder, Reap & Sow, etc)

2) You only need 2 cards instead of 3

So i came up with a new Tooth and Nail deck idea;

Tooth and Nail with Urborg

Lands (25)

4 Windswept Heath
4 Overgrown Tomb
4 Cabal Coffers
4 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
1 Boseiju, Who Shelters All
7 Forest
1 Swamp

Spells (35)

1 Sky Hussar
1 Kiki-Jiki, Mirror breaker
1 Darksteel Colossus
1 Indrik Stomphowler
4 Sakura Tribe Elder
4 Eternal Witness

4 Tooth and Nail
4 Reap and Sow
4 Sylvan Scrying
4 Diabolic Tutor
4 Pernicious Deed
3 Search for Tomorrow

Possible misconstructed cards:

Eternal Witness: It just doesn't seem to fit the idea but this card is simply broken

Search for Tomorrow: It's a weak card but i don't have ANY 1st turn spells so...

Pernicious Deed: It's also doesn't seem to fit the idea but it's a powerhouse

Diabolic Tutor: I know it's a weak card too, but it seemed a good choice to me. It doesn't seem to fit to curve though...

1 Swamp: Is there to get with Sakura Tribe Elder

Any other suggestions??

And do you think that this deck is tier 1?

I think Urborg just works better in Trainwreck. Here is a list if anyone doesn't know Extended.

3 Helldozer

4 Pernicious Deed
4 Distress
4 Duress
3 Staff of Domination
3 Decree of Pain
3 Mutilate/Damnation
4 Chainer's Edict
2 Haunting Echoes
4 Putrefy

4 Cabal Coffers
4 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
4 Polluted Delta
2 Bloodstained Mire
12 Swamp

4 Wrench Mind
3 Cranial Extraction
4 Consume Spirit
4 Krosan Grip

I suppose since there are 4 Urborgs, you could play Quicksand or Desert or something like that for the Boros or whatever matchup.

no way tier 1. Way to many ways to disrupt TnN in extended. I have to say Cabal Coffers + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth is very hot, though. The fact that cabal coffer itself becomes a swamp as well as all your other lands is kinda funny to me.

I'd definetely play living wish with 1 urborg and 1 coffers in the sideboard.

I made an extended deck using urborg + coffers as soon as planar chaos was released. Maybe the list will give you some inspiration.

I don't think you want any more/less creatures than what I posted. Urborg makes boseiju less crappy in the md, so I like the 1-1 split. We're probably fecked against the other combo decks... 8 hand disruption spells probably wont be enough. Any thoughts?

why would play 4 tombs, the only land it actually effects is cabal coffers. Hardly seems worth it.
