|
|
I play zoetic cavern as a morph and may opponent delays it, it gets removed with 3 counters on it and is turned face-up
Question 1: If my opponent controls a teferi, does my land go RFG?
question 2: When it comes into play after last counter is remved from it, can I play another land that turn?
Question 3: I got 1 delayed zoetic cavern and I have alrdy played a land in my first mainphase. Can I play the suspended zoetic cavern by using Rift Elemental/Timebender in my second mainphase
Question 3.1
| Quote: | | so what would happen to the suspended land if you did some how get a counter off of it and had alraedy played a land?? would it stay RFG or go to GY?? |
suspend(At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a time counter from that card. When the last is removed, play it without paying its mana cost. If it's a creature, it has haste.)

1. Teferi affects only spells.
2. No.
3. You can't.
You can only play 1 land per turn, no matter how you play it. |

| In the same vein, you can't play land during your opponent's turn by the means mentioned in question 3... |

3.1
if you played land this turn, and the last time counter of cavern went down afterwards, the cavern is just staying RFG. |

| in regards to what shepherd stated, i believe he is wrong in that suspend allows for the playing for the card at an irregular time (creatures, sorceries during upkeep) so I would think that lands would be no different if you can get it to unsuspend during your opponenets turn |

You can't play a land in your opponents turn because this rule forbids it:
212.6b A player may play only one land card during each of his or her own turns. Effects may allow the playing of additional lands; playing an additional land in this way doesn’t prevent a player from taking the normal action of playing a land. Players can’t begin to play a land that an effect prohibits from being played. As a player plays a land, he or she announces whether he or she is using the once-per-turn action of playing a land. If not, he or she specifies which effect is allowing the additional land play. Effects may also allow you to “put” lands into play. This isn’t the same as “playing a land” and doesn’t count as the player’s one land played during his or her turn. A player may not play a land during another player’s turn, even if an effect would seem to allow the player to do so.
The last sentence was specifically added to prevent this from happening.
When the last time counter comes of a card with suspend, you play it, if you can't play it at that time, it stays RFGed. If it's your opponents turn, you can't, because the rules say so. If you already played a land, you can't, because the rules say you can only play one land a turn (assuming no Azusa, Lost but Seeking or similar hanging around). So only if the last counter is removed in your turn and you haven't played a land yet will you be able to play the land. |
