The Magic League Decks have always that:
Rightclick and Save target as.. to get this deck in Apprentice format.
Is there some tool to do that with MWS? |

No.
That's because with MWS, you can use older versions of the cards. |

| Just save it as Apprentice, and open it with MWS. |

Actually, it can be done quite easily, but it requires some administation in de database, like what is the latest set a certain card was printed in. That way you can just use that set as the default.
ps. Can somene test if MWS crashes when loading a deck like
