I haven't really been around on here in awhile and all, just figured I'd take a shot at posting a deck here.

BR Aggro

Creatures:
4x Shadow Guildmage
4x Magus of the Scroll
4x Dauthi Slayer
4x Emberwilde Augur
3x Pit Keeper
3x Jaya Ballard, Task Mage

Artifact:
3x Phyrexian Totem

Spells:
4x Rift Bolt
4x Brute Force
3x Dash Hopes
3x Disintegrate

Land:
7x Mountain
6x Swamp
4x Graven Cairns
2x Keldon Megaliths
2x Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth

SB:
4x Blood Knight
4x Fiery Temper
4x Extirpate
3x Sudden Shock

Creatures: Shadow Guildmage snipes weenies and your opponent with the minor drawback of pinging yourself. Magus does the same, except more damage, no life loss, and more mana to activate, still all good for this kind of deck. I figured to run Slayer over Blood Knight maindeck for the shadow ability, as a solid 2 drop beater. Augur can also swing for two or blow up for 3 depending on the situation. Pit Keeper is useful, especially after something like Damnation hits the table, or simply to restock if you blew up a few Augurs, or to reload for Jaya. Jaya just nukes creatures and your opponent alike a the price of 2 mana and a card. Totem would fall in this category as an excellent beater, survives stuff like Damnation, and produces extra mana.

Spells: Rift Bolt=damage, plain enough. Brute Force seems ideal in place of a burn spell, and can even set up a surprise for beefing up a blocker or just keeping a creature (such as Jaya) alive if needed. Disintegrate works both for creature removal and as a good finishing burn spell, only downside being that it's a little slow as a sorcery. Dash Hopes can be more useful that Sudden Shock maindeck, IMO, since opponents either dump 5 life to cast a spell, or lose the battle of momentum in the long run.

Land: I figured I needed these for the sake of casting spells, so adding land to the deck seemed to be a good idea. Cairns are a given, Megaliths can ping if needed, and Urborg ensures that I have black mana, simple enough.

SB: Blood Knight > Dauthi Slayer vs White, Fiery Temper vs discard, Extirpate vs stuff like Damnation or the odd reanimator-ish deck...or anything really. Sudden Shock in case I need extra burn maindeck.

So yeah, feel free to offer any suggestions or comments on this one.

If I can ask, what makes this deck aggro?

I mean, really the only guy I see that past turn one that swings is the Slayer, and with Soltari Priest in this format, slayer just dies to him.

Emberwilde Augur is not bad,but he's not good enough in this deck. Just run Korlash over him.

Also,Dash Hopes and the Totem are just not good enough. I would run the Fiery Tempers over Dash Hopes and run Call to the Netherworld over the Totem. Both are pretty cheap and are even cheaper when discarded to Jaya.

For the sideboard, replace the Tempers with Tendrils of Corruption. With playing Urborg,it just makes it that much better a card. Also,Ghostfire would be a better card in the place of Sudden Shock,or at least I think so. This is just my opinion though,so hope this helps.

Drop 3 Totems, add 3 Chars. Needs no explaination, Char rounds the total burn out nicely.

Demonfire > Disintegrate

Lose the Dash Hopes for Scorched Rusalka.

And Hellkite is better than Pit Keeper, IMO.

It's Time Spiral Block Constructed, not Standard.
Those cards aren't legal Confused

However, i really can't see why this deck would be better than a Mono Red, for example. You just have an heavier mana base, that can slow you down. You have Urborgs, that makes things easier for any opponent playing UBx Control.
So, what do you gain from this black splash? Nothing. Not in this format.

But it's just my opinion, afterall...

I would easily cut out the totems and dash hopes. I would take them out for cards like sudden shock and what not. Esspecially Dead/Gone. Another suggestion I'd like to make... it just an idea and you dont need to do it. Is possibly add in 1-2 pendelhaven and play assult/battery. You can play a forest if you like so you can tutor for it but i like to play 2 pendelhavens in my mono red instead of the forest. Just an idea.

I would have to disagree with Zorc on one thing.

Playing the Urborgs can help out a little bit. When I was playing at the last PTQ in Virginia,I noticed a lot of people just splashing black and more people playing black were running Urborg's for Tendril's,Damnation, and Korlash(even saw a guy playing Mono-Blue with Urborg's just for those three cards).

If there is a deck just splashing that color, they are more than likely going to play Urborg. With that being the case, you could play it to disrupt your opponet.

But doing so isn't advisable, mostly because you could end up having to play yours and you help them out by playing it.

Again, this is just an opinion. Good luck with this deck.
