I know there is a lot of buzz about loam and assault(my stars!) but, the deck is missing a crucial thing: cycle lands and honest-to-god fetchlands.

What just dawned on me a few moments ago is that you can skip building a deck that only works efficiently when it isn't facing absurd amounts of splash-damage-hate(anti dredge, enchantment etc etc) by maybe...and I am sure this will sound insane...saying screw being hated to little tiny pieces and having to work infinetly too hard to win post-sideboard matches when you can just have an ultra-modified version of kbbk(ultra-modified because most LD cards seem to suck now) and just so happen to have squee in the deck for stormbind and a razormane masticore or something?

"ZOMGWTFGTFO?!! my opponent is playing black...hmm good thing I can side my Squees out easy"

"what?!! My opponent can bring in hate for my binds?!...good thing they only take up four slots and I can either play mind games and potentially make them waste four sideboarded cards OR say screw it and keep them in. Bahahahahaha"

Whereas with the aggro loam decks, you have to work absurdly hard post sideboard and you have a chance of simply losing to a flood of hate, just like dredge.

Just my thoughts on it though. I have always preferred the idea of leaving a lot of decisions to my opponent to potentially get wrong and give me the edge, as opposed to just losing to hate because I couldn't answer the hate with my hate for the hate because their hate out-hated my hate first...HATE!

Decks like flash, yeah...playing them made sense but in a format like standard, playing a fragile deck that takes splash damage from a billion different angles just seems stupid.

Granted, aggro is aggro but even then, aggro has some great tools for anti-aggro crap. If worst comes to worst with aggroish decks, what do you have to do? Draw more threats than your opponent can answer. Now what do you do when you are playing with something like dredge or aggro loam? Play as craftily as humanly possible and jerk off all over your santaria shrine so you might just draw enough of your answers to their hate to win.

Having your deck's core strategy get hated on is way more favorable than having half your deck be completely nullified.

I guess all I am trying to say here is that why toy around with something that is potentially super-fragile, when you could play something like an aggro/control strategy with numerous simple, strong synergies?

I mean with squee and bind, you even have the option of wishing for a bind. You also get more card slots because you don't have to devote a huge portion of your deck to blah blah blah blahahhaha...

Okay, I'm really tired but, I'm sure people understand what I am getting at.

I'll try to cook up a SqueeBind list.

Good assessment. I, like everyone else, tried Aggro Loam, and I found every single game that I'd rather be playing Three-Deuce/Zoo.

I think that a decent Wish deck with Sqees and Masticores with just a Bind in the side will work, too.

Good times, I'm not just a crazy and opinionated guy.

How has that build been panning out ant? Looks pretty solid. Goblin lores seem good in there. I'm happy they're not only just another tool for dredge.
