Mind over Niv

Hey everyone trying to make a combo deck with Niv-mizzet and mind over matter. This is what I have so far.

2 Boomerang
2 Mystical Teachings
2 Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir
1 Foresee
3 Prosperity
3 Force of Will
4 Counterspell
4 Remand
3 Think Twice
4 High Tide
4 Lotus Bloom
3 Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind
3 Mind Over Matter
14 Island
4 Steam Vents
4 Volcanic Island

Only once have I been able to get Niv and Mind Over Matter (turn 7) on the board at the same time and even then I was not able to get the combo off. I guess what I'm looking for is a few more ways to protect niv and mind over matter and also anything that can help me get them out quicker. Thanks.

edit: didnt saw that this is a thread in casual forum so just dont mind.

why the hell you play mind over matters over curiosity/Keen Sense or ophidian eye... they cost less, you dont need to discard.... tbh i can imagane a better deck with mind over matters than thisone... Even a stasis deck would make better use of mind over matters, cause you can tap their permanents..., but even with stasis their are easier ways... i would just go and rethink the hole idea... and btw niv mizzet+ keen sense or ophidian eye isnt even viable in t2...
