So ive made myself a Landstill deck who seems to be doing alright. But there are some things im not 100% sure of and also ive seen alot of different Landstill decks out there running different cards which has given me some ideas of may7be what to change. Anyways, here we go:
Blue:
4 FoW
4 Counterspell
4 Standstill
3 Brainstorm
3 Stifle
2 Fact or Fiction
2 Mana Leak
1 Mystical Tutor
White:
4 StP
4 WoG
2 Disenchant
2 Exile
Artifacts:
2 Crucible of Worlds
Lands:
4 Flooded Strand
4 Tundra
4 Tropical Island
3 Windswept Heath
1 Savannah
4 Mishra's Factory
3 Nantuko Monastary
Please feel free to comment what you think should be removed and what I should add in the deck.
I also got an idea from a deck running 1 Life from the Loam in the deck with no Crucibles. Is this a good option since it would give me a slot for another card? |

| I've been playing the UW version for a while and it simply didn't work, mainly because WoG is too slow and too ineffecient as a piece of removal. And you have to tap out for it. You've already removed wasteland which is good, and you don't really need crucible anymore. 1 Life from the Loam would work just a fine. Now you need an efficent board sweeper. That would be Pernicious Deed. It also replaces Disenchant. Mana Leak is also ain't worth a slot instead of additional card drawing. Exil isn't good at all. Suming all this up, you should have something like that: http://www.magic-league.com/deck/34389/legacy_t15.html#4c%20Landstill31939 |

Actually it was just your deck I saw using Loam to start with So you say 1 is fine and enough?
Anyways, I tought about the idea of mixing black into the deck but im not sure yet...
Pernicious Deed is quite nice sure but it has a couple of downfalls. Isnt it quite vurnerable to enchantment removals the turn you cast it into play and also cards like Pithing Needle?
Btw is Crime/Punishment really something to have in your deck?
Also I think 2 Nantuko Monastary is perhaps 1 to short. I think 3 is more secure as it is the big winning card in the deck. |

The deck isn't really mine, its being developed at The Source.
You might just check it, as its a kick ass site for Legacy: http://mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5449
You can put a fight vs Wasteland early game, thanks to Stifle, so you don't really need loam that much. Its ok lategame to return your win conditions back if they destroy them. Oftentimes I even board it out.
Pernicious Deed is godly, period. Yes, it has its drawbacks, but it is vastly superior to Wrath of God, as it removes all kinds of pesky permanents. Enchantment removal is not a common thing maindeck now days, and if they board that in, they're removing other necessary things. And you don't completely rely on it. Neither Needle is seen in many s/bs.
Crime/Punishment is certainly worth its slot. It one of the few means we have to deal with first turn ETW, it kills Vial (and needle) among other things and just randomly hoses annoying stuff. And it works as win condition late game
2 Monasteries worked just fine. There are only 2 to ensure the consistency of manabase (you really need colored mana early on), and besides, you rarely have mana to activate 2 monasteries. |
