Everything I have tried to do has worked fine except:

1. If I idle for longer than a short while or I get an error (will try to record what causes these in future) I get a winsock reset by peer message and I can generally only disconnect. This results in the username being logged in and subsequent attempts to log in result in that user is logged in message and a disconnect.

Unfortunatly, I did not write the TCP component and I also have very little expertise in that field, might ask a friend of mine some day.

2. It is possible to get the game in a state where neither player is the active player again not certain how i acheived this but was in a real game with another player and we were both stuck will try to find out what we did.

Could not replicate, may be fixed by accident

3. putting a morph into play upside down without the other player being able to see the card. This may be tricky to acheive no suggestions how you do it.

See post below

and finally a suggestion. The interface is fine and completely customisable so no matter how you like the board set out you can acheive it. But it might be an idea to make the initially set layout a bit more user friendly for example I could not see my opponents life or anyones graveyard till I fiddled with the settings.

True, default settings need work for people with low-res screens

etha,

You can play something face down by holding shift and dragging onto the play table, though i do agree a "play face
down" menu item would be handy for user friendly-ness Very Happy

Submenu Added, Main buton still does the same

Jorbes, found another bug, this one relates to the counter rendering. In windows vista (my testing platform), the counters are present but the icons on the counters are missing.

Dont have Vista yet

Related to the interface issue reported by etha, i've noticed that the factory defaults aren't actually the defaults! Very Happy

True, the load factory defaults procedure probably does not call the loaddefaults procedure for all objects, will
look into it some day, not a big deal imo

Bug Testing - 14/06/2007 - Windows XP Service Pack 2

REQUEST - There should be a shortcut key, similar to MWS, to put the selected cards into the graveyard. In MWS, this is Ctrl-Del

Ctrl+Del it is

MINOR -If you drag a card from your library, graveyard or RFG into play, the white highlight of where the card will appear does not show up.

Needs some thought, remind me if this is not yet done before 1.0 Wink

MINOR -When both players pass in the upkeep step, and auto draw is selected, the game messages gets out of sync. For example, if the above occurs, the log says:

[21:18:42] dafatdude declares upkeep
[21:18:50] You have drawn a card (41)
[21:18:50] Step/Phase Change: draw.

It should say:

[21:18:42] dafatdude declares upkeep
[21:18:50] Step/Phase Change: draw.
[21:18:50] You have drawn a card (41)

Fixed, with some other changes

MINOR - It is not possible to select text in the game messages box, without first saving it to a text file

Fixed, as long as the message box can't be moved, the default for mouse down is "start select"

REQUEST - Passing priority seems like a pretty important feature and something that will be done many times in the course of a match, maybe passing priority should have a one button hotkey instead of Ctrl-P

Fixed, F6

MINOR - After declaring attackers, when both players pass, the blue shading on the current step disappears

Fixed (the declaring att/blk actually has a secret step, now the button is associate with that step also)

MINOR - There is no way to progress past the untap step without clicking on the upkeep step icon, regardless of whether or not AUTO UNTAP is ticked
Fixed, auto proceed to next step (upkeep)

MINOR - Consider rethinking "Place a other counter on <cardname>". Doesn't sound right to me, maybe "Place a counter on <cardname>"

Fixed, changed the name to "card counter", leaving the name
empty doesn't work for other reasons, like:
"Move all other counters" would become "Move all counters", which is misleading

MINOR - The PASS/GO box goes blank when playing cards to the stack. To replicate, move to any step where you have the option to PASS or GO. Go to Options > Settings > Interface and select to put spells onto the stack instead of play. Then play a spell onto the stack. Notice the PASS/GO buttons disappear.

Hmm, I think you have "Pass After Play" checked in the Game Settings.. default for that is now OFF

REQUEST - Related to the above, i think Put into Play or Put onto Stack should be a menu item in "Game Settings", rather than tucked away in the options. I think it's something that would be used fairly frequently.

Moved to Game Settings

MINOR - It's possible to drag every card off the stack except for the one on the very bottom. Trying to drag the bottom card off the stack results in moving the whole stack widget. Is this the desired behaviour?

Floating Zones can now only be moved by mouse down on the background box, note that cards you dont control can't be dragged.

BUG TESTING - 17/06/2006 - Windows XP Service Pack 2

MAJOR - GO throws an Exception: Access violation at address <addr> in module "GO.exe". Read of address <addr>. This can be replicated by opening the library in solitaire mode and double clicking a card. Sometimes throws a "List index out of bounds" error.

Fixed

MODERATE - When you try and drag a card from your library to your hand, instead of putting the card you try and drag into your hand, you instead draw the top card of the library.

Fixed

MINOR - Mouse over cards in the library does not show the card images in the card view object.

Fixed

FEATURE - In MWS, double clicking a card in your library browser draws the top card of the library. I think this is a poor choice. In GO, i think double clicking a card should put it into play. Would make playing cards like Fact or Fiction and Gifts Ungiven much easier (just go ahead and double click the cards u want instead of having to drag them out)

Fixed: To RevealZone

MINOR - If the stack gets too large, then it can move off the bottom of the screen and make it impossible to resolve the top card of the stack. Maybe there is a way to tell once the stack is off the screen and begin to shrink the card sizes, just like the way you do it for loads of cards in hand.

Stack is moveable, but I'll fix it anyway

MINOR - Targetting in the stack doesn't work very well because the targetting arrows overlap each other. Is there a another way that would show targetting? Maybe semicircular arrows, or different colored ones. This would

Tough one, but fixable with directx, since the arrows can then be fixed images that will resize to fit

FEATURE - Ever thought about how you would like to handle storm? It would be cool if you could create copies of cards on the stack. It would also be good to be able to create X copies of a card.

Copy X Times button added to Stack Popup

FEATURE - Card copys should have the word "Copy" in yellow and black on the card preview screen, like the cards in play.

Fixed, preview is now draw same way as regular cards, so they should be identical
