I loved black vise all the time but in vintage it seems pretty underpowered, but then i thought about affinity, what do you think, could blackvise see play in affinity in vintage?

With most vintage decks capable of easily and quickly getting down to four cards if necessary, I'd say no - the best you can hope for is 3 damage for 1 mana, and it's delayed at that. At that point you may as well use rift bolt or lightning bolt.

I am currently trying to fine tune a deck that abuses black vice in vintage, but as noted, it is really close to impossible to do this. Which is why it was unrestricted. Though I think it was a mistake to unrestrict Mind Twist as another deck I made has 4 of them and they always create problems for my opponent. I think Gush was also a mistake, but whatever. Back to the vice...I have found that using spell hosers are your best bet. Black Vice does not belong in an agro deck, it goes in a control deck. I have them in a deck that uses 4 Nether Voids, 1 Trinisphere, 4 Smokestacks, 4 Chalice of the Voids, 4 Wastelands, 1 stripmine, 3 Crucible of Worlds, etc...pretty much anything that will slow my opponent down. Of course them pitching a blue card and FoW wont help you much. Black Vice just isn't good enough to stop anything on the top tier list. Unless they are not playing FoW, you might have a chance, but if they are...forget it.

as was said, the best home for black vise would be stax, with as much
disruption to your opponent as you can handle...include vise with sphere of resistance, chalice, tangle wire, crucible +strip mine/wasteland, trinisphere, etc

even so black vise in this deck wouldn't be crazy b/c it's still vulnerable to anything your stax decks are traditionally weak too, ie energy flux, hurkyl's recall

unless they unrestrict trinisphere, which i don't see happening, this deck is probably not as good as you would hope for

stax is still a good deck, and black vise is a good card just in the wrong format, black vise might be useful it is resolves against a control deck, but odds of playing a control deck, and having it resolve are very slim.
