Has anyone else tried the deck??
I tried it out a few days ago, and found it to be amazing! it tends to completely dominate aggro but has a bit of trouble with control match ups, but that's easily fixed with a simple quickened balancing act or taping mana at eot with ice or, still yet, remanding counterspells!

No

Balencing Tings is the following, or use to be:

-Obliderate
-Balancing Act
-Sac lands that produce enemy color of land it regular taps for
-Terrivore

...now i could be wrong... but this was the deck...

------
found a link! here is a list of the deck a while back, but a while ago.

yavin is sorta right...

the "new" tings lists use insideous dreams with the traditional tings package, and throw in the uber-combo of draco + erratic explosion. it's really quite good and plays numerous cantrips to be able to tings at eot with quicken and set up the lotus bloom + terravore on the top of ur deck. can always play the control game with fire/ice, remand, tings, etc.

yeah...no...

that's an alternate win condition...it wins games...yes...but not as often as balancing act followed by the Terravore of Death

but yes, the combo is there for the craptastic aggro decks that enjoy dealing massive amounts of damage to themselves

the only time the deck is hard to play...is when you're up against control. You don't want to run into a counterspelled act...with all your permanents saced...but aggro, for the most part, is cake!

i play tings quite often......

aggro could be quite heavy if u do not find balancing tings quickly (even with moment's peace)

against control (duress, seedtime, mana short, chant)

hardest match-ups are by far the psychatog and G/x madness (psychatog on table even if u resolve tings or obliterate they will discard all to teeth and u cannot paly terra, same with aquamoeba or mongrel) ..and also duress/therapy wrecks you.....
counterspell are teh last thing u could care.....

Insidious comes in for FoF......and brings draco..because most decks run duals, and agro is easily beaten by this combo (draco , erratic)

yeah, I think I do too, now. It's definitely a good deck with which I feel unnaturally safe, particularly for a combo deck.

Which list, Kurihara's or Ruel's, do you run? (i.e.:with or without burning wishes, respectively)
Currently, I'm running a list similar to Ruel's, without the burning wishes. I did test with burning wishes and found that, more often than not, that the wishes were fodder for an Insidious Dreams and that's just about it.

Decklist:
4x Archaeological Dig
4x Ancient Spring
4x Geothermal Crevice
4x Irrigation Ditch
2x Sulfur Vent
4x Tinder Farm
2x Seafloor Debris

4x Terravore

3x Remand
4x Terrarion
4x Lotus Bloom
3x Chromatic Star
1x Sensei's Divining Top
4x Balancing Act
1x Quicken
3x Orim's Chant
4x Insidious Dreams
3x Fire/Ice
2x Obliterate

Sideboard:
1x Quicken
1x Obliterate
1x Draco
1x Erratic Explosion
2x Duress
2x Seedtime
2x Moment's Peace
4x Tormod's Crypt
1x Krosan Grip

that's what I'm running now. And with all the card draw that I have, burning wish is virtually useless.
And there is no Vesuva because I found that it wasn't necessary, simply. Copying the tap lands is great...but it often didn't provide me with the right color(s) of mana. So instead, I added Seafloor Debris in it's place, which has proven to be of more use.

I've been playing T'ings for over a year and it still is my favourite deck. My decklist:

20 Saclads
3 Timberland Ruins

4 Lotus Bloom
4 Chromatic Star
4 Terrarion
1 Quicken
3 Mana Short
4 Moment's Peace
3 Balancing Act
4 Burning Wish
3 Insidious Dreams
2 Anurid Brushhopper
1 Nimble Mongoose
4 Terravore

SIDEBOARD
1 Balancing Act
1 Mana Short
3 Obliterate
1 Roar of the Wurm
3 Krosan Grip
1 Bitter Ordeal
2 Tangle
3 Sudden Shock (this because I lost my last top 8 against Counterbalance: he played two Meddling Mages for Balancing Act and Obliterate... twice... however now there is Gaddock Teeg, too. Something like Sudden Shock is needed)

Would Sudden Death be better then Sudden Shock. It does also kill Loxodon, Teferi, and other stuff.

Actually Loxodon is not a problem for T'ings because you can just reset the game with Balancing Act. The same for Teferi.
So the creatures that are really a problem for this decks are Meddling Mage and Gaddock (or Wild Mongrel and Psychoatog that empty opponent's hand).
In addition to this the cost of Sudden Death is 1BB so it is harder to play.
However this is my choice and I don't know if it is the best one!

I understand that it is harder to cast. My point is that you can not combo off when you are looking at a Mage and Counterbalance. Most players that have played vs 'tingz will set the Counterbalance at 2 in case of Sudden Shock. So I would play the undervalued card. Most control decks are going to have the Counter-Top combo in the deck. Sometimes undervauled cards are great in the sb. In my experiance the undervauled cards only become underpowered if the match is 3 out of 5. That is only going to matter in very high level play when you are going to have your deck so tested, tuned, and teched (the three "T's" of deck building) that you may have even more "rouge" cards in your sb or you will take a much more standard sb method.

I agree, T'ings is hard to play, but it is very good... if you don't like it, don't play it Smile
