Only counterbalance + top and a lot of A-Factor (But remember that you can't answer with top at split second)
P.s. A=Ass XD |

| Landstill should be U/W, so you can run Decree of Justice. You can keep Shackles in if you just run fetchlands and duals, however. |

| You can do any morph in response of Split Second ability... so, with your deck, Willbender, Vesuvan Shapeshifter and Fathom Seer would work. In T2, there is a deck called Pickles (why in hell it is called that is beyond me though) that is completelely base around those cards. |

Is it one particular spell that's causing you trouble (like Sudden Death)? If so then Chalice of the Void is very strong, splashing white for Meddling Mage is also decent. Willbender will answer S. Death, S. Shock, Word of Seizing and Stonewood Invocation.
I can't figure out any Split Second spell that hurts you that badly. Is it just Sudden Death? That doesn't seem too scary. |

Actually its more like the red decks with creature that got split to second and burn spells with that ability too... if i dont get shackles i die pretty quick . Also i'm thinking of sb'ding arcane laboratory for enchantress (whatever its called now) ive seen alot of ppl play it o_O. |

| Enchantress?! I thought that deck was only playable in Legacy. If its Extended you want, you should really just go with CouterbalancePsychatog, play Standstill in it if you like. And if possible when playing a deck with split second cards, try to keep a card with the same converted mana cost on top at all times because Counterbalance still works, only top doesnt. |

It's called Pickles because of Brine Elemental. Brine is the liquid pickles bathe in in their jar.

So you're having trouble with Sulfur Elemental and Sudden shock then, 'cause there's really nothing else that's to worry about. And even then, the Elemental isn't much of a trouble to you're mono-blue build. There's nothing you can really do about the Shocks, but you can pack some bounce for the Elementals. |

To be honest, I can't think of too many spells with split second that would really be cause for concern...there is always krosan grip and extirpate, I suppose but those spells can just be ignored somewhat.
The idea to add the pickles creature is completely retarded. Magx is a type two player primarily and not a very good one, at that. The fact he suggested a huge number of creatures to be added to a landstill variant(a primarily creatureless deck) further gives credence to this fact.
As far as the deck is concerned, ditch the stalking stones and add some blinkmoth nexus...maybe leave two stones. Also, run a few fetch lands. Ditch the peeks and add some repulses. Also, add some disrupts. I like the package of two disrupts and four forcespikes, personally. As far as the sideboard and what-have-you is concerned, I think you should test the deck more because some of the numbers and choices don't make sense to me.
Hopefully this advice will be helpful. Cheers |
