Any help i could get would be appreciated
24 Swamp
4 Roiling Horror
4 Damnation
4 Underworld Dreams
4 Temporal Extortion
4 Phyrexian Arena
4 Tendrils of Corruption
4 Dash Hopes
2 Consume Spirit
2 Soul Spike
2 Darkblast
2 Last Gasp
SB (Normal):
4 Defense Grid
SB (Transformative):
4 Korlash, Heir to Blackblade
3 Infernal Tutor (To search for copies of Korlash for Grandeur)
4 Dauthi Slayer
4 Shimian Spirit
Any Advice would be welcome. This deck started out as having very few creatures anyway, and with Damnation and opposing kill spells, i just decided to take the creatures out altogether. The main win condition for this deck is to get the opponent down to low-ish life using a combination of roiling horror (suspended or not), underworld dream (especially good vs card advantage control decks), and Dash Hopes (basically a 2 mana burn spell when targeting something the opponent really wants, but which you can kill next turn anyway). Tendrils works quite well with roiling horror. Especially need help with sb, as I'm not really sure if a transformative sb is really what i want, or if i want a more standard control-ish sb.
PS - I know Roiling Horror is a creature, and i called this a creatureless deck, but it can also be suspended to further the lifeleech, and is not really necessary as a creature, so i think it's fine

You will definitely want Defense Grid in your sideboard if you're going to depend on your spells so much. MBC is great when there's accel of some sort in the format, Urza had Dark Ritual and Odyssey had Cabal Catacombs, this time we just don't have anything though |

EDIT: Playable acceleration.

I realllly dont understand why people would considder playing Underworld Dreams, really, it's a slow clock, that gives no advantage, that's not whta you need.
And the gauntlet is amazing in monoblack
a single mirari, and some disruption would not be bad |

Of course Underworld Dreams is a slow clock, but it does serve the purpose of slowly draining my opponent of life while do my best to keep them from winning with creature kill and lifegain. Besides, enchantment removal is not extremely common, and dreams is therefore much safer to play than a creature, and survives my own damnations. In addition, many top tier decks run blue for card draw, and this is good at punishing them. I don't particularly think it's very good either, I just find it better than anything else.
And Magus of the Coffers is too fragile, IMHO |
