Playing the wrong land by accident

This thread involves using opp's reaction to playing a spell or land.

I suppose when you play a spell and can't pay for it, it goes back to your hand right?

Would it be cheating if you did this on purpose to see if maybe your opp wanted to counter it?

What if you're holding a swamp and a urborg and you want to know if the urborg is gonna help your oppoent (maybe he's holding that live gainer?).

Would this be considered cheating:

Play the urborg, and watch your opp's reaction..
If it's like a big smile on his face, say "Oops, i meant to play swamp, sorry" and take it back.

Obv. most good players have a good poker face and online it's even not an issue.

In fact you can't take back a land, when you played it. When you play spells you cannot cast, its more likely, that your opponent will recognize it, and you offered him more information from your hand, than you get from him (if you get anything but to be told, that your action is illegal)

The intent of your action is what it makes cheating.

It is legal to play ouvert: Reveal the cards in your hand. as longs as none of them changed the zone (on stack, to play)

well what about dreaded misclicks? I occasionally double click the wrong land next to the one i wanted and it flys out...but i then spam to hell and back that it was misclick before they can react.

IRL this isnt such an issue...but maybe a 1 second response time to correct it? After that its deffinitely your fault for not noticing.

Then again something needs to be set in stone as there are a few mL players that will be very anal about this if it benefits them, whereas not so much if it's against them (few players come to mind).
