This deck has served me well, tested it thoroughly and believe it has good games vs most the field.

Discard outlets: {10}
4 Magus of the Bazaar (draw and discard available turn 3)
4 Looter il-kor (see above. plus this does damage...albeit slowly)
2 Tresspasser il-vec (discard outlet and hits for 3 shadow damage)

Reanimator spells (the obvious): {8}
4 Dread Return (good synergy with the outlets)
4 Resurrection

Reanimation targets: {10}
4 Bogardan Hellkite (5 damage among any targets, says enough)
1 Teneb, the Harvester (run out of returns/resu, then this guy is a house)
2 Scion of the Ur- Dragon (puts those dragons in the yard)
1 Akroma, Angel of Wrath (BOMB)
1 Triskelavus (wins the late game)
1 Numot, the devastator (control cant live without lands)

Utility: {6}
4 Lotus Bloom (against LD this will save you the game as ive found out)
2 Prismatic Lens (colour fixing )

Mana Base: {24}
4 Terramorphic Expanse
4 Gemstone Mine
1 Acedemy Ruins
4 Plains
6 Swamp
5 Island

SB:
Still working on this but at this precise moment, its includes the following.

3 Damnation
4 Sudden death
2 Serrated Arrows
4 Cancel
1 Akroma, angel of fury
1 Akroma, angel of wrath

Need some helpful criticism. So ill let you guys do what you do best

DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE LOOTERS!

I got killed by 4x Looter and an Elves of Deep Shadow. Last Friday. At FNM. VS a T2 Reanimator deck much like this one. >.>

always. you get through a lot of the deck within a game thanks to magus. If you get Scion in play, then there is ALWAYS enough creatures either in the yard or in play. favourite play is (whilst either magus, looter or Trespasser is in play) EOT activate Scion twice for Hellkites. Dread return one of them. then flashback. The opponent is helpless. Or if you know the Scion is going to survive, attack and activate for Teneb and pay tenebs ability and reanimate hellkite

Dredge doesn't run any mass removal and I had A: boarded out my Darkblasts, having seen 0 1/1's game 1, and B: drawn the worst hand of the entire tournament. I placed third.

With body double:

Cast body double, targeting HellKite.
Cast Dread Return for Hellkite.
Sac Double, Hell Kite, and another creature, return Hellkite.

Seems good to me. Ressurection isn't another creature for Return.

I agree with Body Double over Resurrection.

Another pretty good card for this kind of deck is Lightning Axe.. unfortunately White Weenie is playing lots of pro-red creatures these days.

I made a very nice Madness/Reanimator mix pre-Planar Chaos, so I guess that it must have some nice toys now.

It would have problems against Control, and you'd better choose a reanimation target that has either a CIP or is inmune to commonly played removal.

Akroma is obviously a bomb, but vs White Weenie you might actually want the Red one, for the Pro-White (no Temporal Isolation) and because you can cast it. Bogardan Hellkite is another bomb, but again, WW has wisened up.

I played the old version at a Magic-League mini or trial and did fairly well (it did have Resurrection and Careful Consideration).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the decklist only add up to 58 cards?

10 + 8 = 18
18 + 10 = 28
28 + 6 = 34
34 + 24 = 58

Correct?

To think, I tried to make this deck work in Standard. It's so much more appropriate in TBC.

Agreed, Body Double is very good indeed. It also adds more creatures for Dread Return flashback.
I think you do only have 58 cards. That's easily fixed, have you carefully considered Careful Consideration? You can put 2 of those in easily. Otherwise I'd go with one more Lens and one more Trespasser or Dragon (Scourge of Kher Ridge from Future Sight looks pretty good). Vorosh is another good one: Scion becomes Vorosh, add +6/+6, and I think those counters stay on!! (correct me if i'm wrong). Vorosh can also be easily hard-cast if you have trouble finding reanimation.

It seems like the card the deck really wants is Psychotic Episode. Additionally, siding into creature hate and making the deck as black as possible makes a lot of sense (nightshade assassin and dark withering, since there are already a ton of madness outlets). The other main thing I'd suggest is Mindless Automaton over Trespasser il-Vec. It's less fragile and serves as a wonderful extra kill condition. Body Double is better than Res or Dread simply because it doesn't target so it can't be stopped by extirpate in any way.

Also worth considering : Think Twice (digs for zombifies and works well with discarding to looter/magus), Psi Blast/Sudden Death (sometimes you just need to kill a turn 3 finkel or mishra before it ends the game). Drop the white, add Body Double, add 4x Psychotic Episode to protect your win "combo". Those are musts. The rest are suggestions.
