anyone have any thoughts on how high tide would do in g.p. columbus.. or does anyone have any updated lists for high tide...it's been a while since it's had an update.

| Well you could splash red for alt win cons like Grapeshot, Demonfire, Empty the Warrens, and Invoke the Firemind. Also Quicken may be good in the deck this would give you a way to win at EOT. |

| Yes you high tide and reset for big mana and storm count. Brainfreeze ftw. Some versions also used the "untap" spells and Stroke ftw. |

yea thats great and all
but 99% of the time you go off on opponents upkeep
and that is the most solid combo deck in any current format
it does not need any alternate win cons |

you can't go off on the upkeep, unless you got an extremely good hand |

From how I've played the deck, you wait until you are about to potentially die from lethal damage, not during upkeep.
Ex. You are at 10 life, and opponent attacks for 12, "In response..." you start casting card drawing, untapping, so on and so on.
Usually this will get you to the winning brain freeze, however there will be times you will just run out of card drawing and just lie there like a drunken cheerleader on prom night. |

Plz don't put me on blast. This was a thread about a great deck that has not had an update in years. I am one to think that it does need an update. I think that some newer storm spells could find a home in the deck. It is not like it hurts you to play Volcanic Island over Island in Legacy. Grapeshot and Empty the Warrens have proved to be great cards in t2 and Ext. It all come down to what to cut from one of the best combo decks ever built to update it for the new Legacy format.

| Hell nah R3wind. Why did you have to netdeck Solidarity and then make it worse. You want the saclands not Deserts. This is Legacy Deserts don't help, Lackey still drops a Goblin buddy. Saclands thin out the deck and have synergy with Brainstorm which is very crucial. I think Solidarity is currently a bad choice because I think there will be lots of Blue based Aggro Control which is your worst matchup, also it is a very hard deck to play especially in long tourneys. Unless you are already super crucial with Solidarity and you have played it at least 2x in big tourneys I would just break out Meathooks or something with a teched out board and hope for the best. |

| You are right about the sac lands. But I lost to a deck with the Swarm and chant. So I posted it to be funny. I do think that it is good as a one of. Also I hear that one damage is great vs Jackel Pup and Lions... The deck also seems to have a really bad match vs Charblecher combo. If you do not get the FoW on the opening hand is really hard to stop. |

Actually, that's a really bad idea, since your opponent doesn't lose immediately from brain freeze (they don't lose until they attempt to draw a card and can't).
I guess you can try and hit them with a draw spell as well, but it's usually just best to wait until their upkeep on the turn they'd swing for lethal. |

again, you can not go off during the upkeep unless you have an amazing hand, why do people not read reset?
anyways there is a reason why the deck plays a singleton stroke in the SB, which I use quite a bit more often then waiting for the opponent to draw NEXT TURN |

How do you go off during your opponents upkeep? Thats the dumbest thing i have ever heard.
Card type: Instant
Casting cost: UU
Oracle text: Play Reset only during an opponent’s turn after his or her upkeep step.
Untap all lands you control.
Do you play like 10 turnabouts or somthing? |
