This deck works on the basis of Wild Pair.
This deck can go off on turn 5 every single time. (Assuming Wild Pair...)
//Land
9x Forest
2x Island
2x Mountain
1x Swamp
4x Gemstone Mine
4x Terramorphic Expanse
//Creatures
4x Wall of Roots
4x Gemhide Sliver
3x Reflex Sliver
3x Dormant Sliver
2x Basal Sliver
2x Telekinetic Sliver
2x Spinneret Sliver
1x Darkheart Sliver
1x Might Sliver
1x Sedge Sliver
1x Synchronous Sliver
1x Pulmonic Sliver
//Spells
4x Wild Pair
3x Prismatic Lens
4x Mwonvuli Acid-Moss
2x Disintegrate
//Sideboard:
2x Darkheart Sliver
2x Jedit Ojanen Of Efrava
3x Utopia Vow
4x Krosan Grip
4x Serrated Arrows
Turn 1: Land
Turn 2: Forest -> Gemhide Sliver
Turn 3: land -> Generic Sliver (whatever sliver happens to be in hand)
Turn 4: Land -> Wild Pair
Turn 5: Land -> 2/2 Sliver fetch for reflex sliver. 2/2 sliver for dormant sliver, draw. 2/2 Sliver for Basal Sliver, draw draw. Keep going for as long as you can (looking to draw Disintegrate). Draw out your deck if necessary, when you have more than 11 slivers out, make sure you tap one for red mana, and sac the rest for black mana to power disintegrate to the dome.
Ok, made some changes.
First, Pulled the Psionic Slivers, as they are just too difficult to properly manage in the deck as an alternate win condition.
+1 Pulmonic Sliver which works well in conjunction with basal sliver to get extra mana for more sliver draw to keep the combo running until you can draw a disintegrate. Usually is not necessary.
+2 Forest. Needed the higher land base to make sure I reach that critical 4th land drop by turn 4.
The biggest problem is trying to get Wild Pair. If the deck doesn't draw into it by turn 4, unless you've got a great hand for Mwonvuli Acid-Moss and some slivers + telekinetic sliver to Stasis the board for a couple turns, your basically drawing dead.
Thoughts? Comments?

I dont think you understand how Wild pair works....
Whenever a creature comes into play, if you played it from your hand, you may search your library for a creature card with the same total power and toughness and put it into play. If you do, shuffle your library. |

you made it sound like u went infinate on turn 5, when in all reality you are not...
a better combo for tsp block would just be:
enduring renewal + basal sliver + essence warden |

Not infinite, no.
But between dropping 1 or 2 Dormant slivers, and having a reflex sliver out to get haste mana tapping, you can pretty well draw all your slivers out of your deck in 2-3 turns, assuming you don't get mana flooded or something, which is simply bad luck. |

this deck needs whitemane lion.
just 1 or 2, and any 2/2 sliver can fetch it from the deck when wild pair is in play. then, you just bounce the lion to your hand, getting another sliver; rinse and repeat. |

I like this deck.
And yes, on turn 5, assuming you have Wild Pair, you can dish out A LOT of slivers, remembering that you can tap each one (with the haste it has) for mana.
As for:
enduring renewal + basal sliver + essence warden --- If I'm not wrong, you're missing one mana. |

Its Enduring Renewal + Basal Sliver + Mindlash Sliver + Essence Warden.
And that's way too many colors and cards, and it's a terrible combo.
As for this deck, I've tried it, and the problem is it's utter jank if you don't draw Wild Pair, and even if you do, often they'll have a solution for one or both of the Psionic Slivers, and then all you have is a bunch of creatures with defender and no real way to win.
You can keep working on it b/c I'd love to see it get good, but somehow I think a win condition like Pandemonium before you go off or something might be needed rather than Psionic Sliver. |

Dannar: way to totally barn without giving any credit where credit is due.
for those of you who might not know; this was a featured deck for this week's Magic Show from starcitygames. Check out the vid here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=yPfkbK3ZIt0
I would HIGHLY suggest that everyone not only check out this vid but look back at past vids and watch for weekly updates. This in my opinion is some of the absolute best magic coverage on the internet.
I think this deck is pretty cool and fun but the problem is, it has terrible match ups vs UB control which im sure will be VERY popular in future block events. |

I remade the deck myself and molded it to my playstyle, splashing more red over black to bring in firewake sliver over reflex for 1cc less for the haste ability. I added in several different ways to win which also includes a beatdown win of early hard to block beefed sliver if I havn't drawn into dormant/wild pair.
Creatures:33
4 dormant
4 firewake
4 sidewider
4 gemhide
4 spinneret
2 darkheart
4 two-headed
1 watcher
1 psionic
4 reflex
1 basal
Spells:7
3 wild pair
2 demonfire
1 dryad's caress
1 psychic drain
Land:20
7 forest
5 plains
4 island
4 mountain
SB:15
4 blood moon
3 krosan grip
3 cop:r
2 psychic drain
2 loaming shaman
1 demonfire
With my build it adds insane life gains, double/tripled up combos(tap all to psionic with lands open; play dryad's using w, untap all and 1.do it again 2.play demonfire/psychic drain and if the X costs fail and you have another in your hand then use basal effect and do it again with a sliver that is untapped(playing smart of course).
I liked the deck and will probably use it for some casual fun to step away from serious standard for a while, it really is alot of fun. |

| That's all well and good hellomoto, except it's supposed to be TSP block, which your deck clearly is not. |

Hey, I'm sorry that someone else thought of a similar deck idea to mine. I had been playing around with wild pair for several weeks, working with various Color combos. I can post the various deck ideas I've created so far, if your really interested. Eventually (read: 3 days ago) I got the idea that instead of trying to play all these slivers out and then try and run them past someone in an attack, why don't I just use them to power a 1-shot kill, so I searched the database for X damage sorceries and instances, and disintegrate fit the bill perfectly.
Is it a coincidence? Yes. But did I steal his deck idea? no. Kudos to him for thinking of it as well. |

I can see your point. Psionic Sliver is definitely not the primary win condition though.
Primary win condition is to pump out 10-12 slivers and sac them to a 20+ damage disintegrate. Do it right and get a Pulmonic Sliver out, and you can sac them to the top of your library instead of your graveyard, that way you don't even lose the slivers to GY. You can then use a cycling combo of tap a spinneret and the pulmonic for Any colors, and then sac for BBBB to the top of your library to play a sliver and draw the pulmonic and spinneret back into your hand or put the spinneret back into play after searching for it and draw the pulmonic back into your hand.
The only problem with this deck, is as you said, it's jank without drawing into wild pair.
Wild pair by turn 4? Uber. No Wild Pair by turn 4? Might as well scoop...
It's making me think that instead of running other utility spells, I should run Deck Digging cards. |
