| Well those cards will probably be "reprinted" in future sets and maybe those sets will have these frames. It looks cool! |

I lke this frame better than the current frame but far less than the classic frame. There's just one problem. The mana cost is displayed so that when you "fan" your hand (if playing with real cards), the mana cost is readable. (IF you fan your hand with the current cards, the mana cost is hidden). This is great if you're good at recognizing the cards you're playing by their mana costs -- in constructed -- but worse for limited, where you could easily forget what's in your hand or mistake it for something else and would need to shuffle through anyway. Personally, I always stacked my hand like this:
Card Here
Card Here
Card Here
Card Here
etc.
Which meant the name and cost were both visible.
It's one more step away from a card that looks like a page ripped out of a spell book, though. Very sad. |

| well, in a set with only cards with this frame u would keep cards showing only the left-upper corner, so u can also read a part of the name of the cards, but all depends on your abitudes. Maybe its a bit "painful" to think about the fact that those cards had to be ripped out of a spell book... |

| I really hate the "future-shifted" frames. The plane-shifted frames looked awesome. If you have problems with not seeing the mana cost of your cards, you just have to fan them out the other way! Pretty obvious one... |

In all honesty, I prefer the 8th edition frame to both. While they look different, the planar chaos frame is much less legible than the 8th edition frames, a major selling point for me on the frames. As such, I'm not a big fan of the planeshifted frames.
As for the future frames... well, to be honest, I think they are functional, but they have a lot of restrictions current cards just don't have. For one thing, they don't allow for the reprinting of Nicol Bolas, as they don't have enough space for that many mana symbols. For another, they look "techy" but less functional - the mana symbols are much more legible in the upper-right hand corner.
As for those of you who say you can't read the mana costs of cards... have you never learned how to hold Magic cards? It is very easy to set up your hand so you can see the names and mana symbols of every card in your hand. Unfortunately I don't have a camera to take a picture of myself doing it, but its not hard to do, and I think its actually easier to read them that way than this way. |

| Oh please? When was the last time something had more than 6 symbols in its cost? Nicol Bolas himself? And he was reprinted in TS. Honestly, who cares in you can't print big, unplayable dragons anymore. The only people who would want them are hard core collectors and they have a way to get Bolas easily now. I like the future frames, but I like the PC ones a lot more. However, I would not be unhappy if these frames became permanent. |

they're awesome and fresh looking. I like how they have tons of one-off keywords that will come in later.
Now you can see the mana cost when you fan your hand with these. I am sick of constantly shuffling through my hand. (not that I often have hands... hehe. Hellbent.) |

It's all about the classic Alpha/Beta border styles .. and should always be black bordered, /me hates white borders.
Although I dislike the majority of the new framestyle from Future Sight, the cards with no text (basically textless promo style) are pretty nice looking.
