Basically this is just a general discussion. If theres one thing that i would change about the deck, it would be the mana base, i think it could be improved. Quick notes on playing the deck, you have to think ahead like 3-4 turns and sit yourself up a window to "go off". This means, you have to know your opponents decks well and know what to expect. |

| yes this deck is pretty viable, its pretty solid. the only problem i see with this deck is blink riders blowing up storage lands, and teferi saying no to suspend cards, other than that hellkite = gg |

| terramorphic expanse might be a better idea than gemstone mine, or atleast put in a few expanses in there somewhere |

| I tried expanse in here, but for the most part it was bad. You kind of want the first turn recall if possible and expanse is just too slow for the deck. |

I think this deck could work.
The format isn't amazingly fast, and alot of people play control without counters, so you will most likely have a large amount of time to set up.
Even against aggro decks, a little bit of SBing will give you enough effects that are pretty much WoG against them to win.
And I agree, Blink Riders will be a bad match up. |

well what do you think about adding chromatic stars to get your combo cards together and fixing your mana base?
do you consider using wall of roots in main as blocker and mana-making-wall?
what about sideboarding sulfur elementals against WW? |

| I have no clue how this discussion got back onto the main page but since it is, ill comment. Now that TSPblock is a little more defined, i would make the following changes to the deck. Drop the land d sideboard plan and put in some sulfur elementals and even some counterspells will do. The plan against u/b seems to be more focused on hardcasting hellkites and sulfurs then tryign to combo out. Hardcast hellkite and use cancel to stop their removal. Its the worst matchup but not unwinnible. I also added some more disintegrates to the main board and took out some acid mosses becuz it seems like disintegrate is pretty good with 6+ storage lands. I really dont have any problems against any other decks and i think when ppl start playing this deck correctly we will see more top 4 by it. |
