Hey everyone. For as far back as I can remember mono white aggro/white weenie has always been my favorite deck to play, which is why I am asking for some help on improving my deck. I DO NOT want to add another color (i.e. I have no desire to make this boros no matter how much more efficient boros is) but will take all suggestions of white/artifact cards that will improve my deck. I thank you in advance for all of your help. So here is what I was thinking:
Lands:
17 Plains
4 Ghost Quarter (Desert, vhitu ghazi, urzas factory, mouth ronom)
Total:21
Creatures:
4x Savannah Lions
4x Knights of the holy nimbus
4x soltari priest
4x stone cloaker
4x icatian javilineers
3x calciderm
2x serra avenger
1x jotun grunt
1x dust elemental
Total: 27
Other Spells:
4x Glorious Anthem
4x Devouring Light
4x Mana Tithe
1x Sacred Mesa
Total: 13
Now that is the barebone list but I do have some questions which I am hoping some people can help me with.
1. Since this is mono white does marty of sands deserve a 3-4x spot in here? My only concern is that I would dump my hand too fast, however if it was played on the second turn it would be highly advantageous against some decks like dragonstorm.
2. There are six 1-of creatures that I have considered adding. The first two, chronosavant and crovax are both great late game but they would severly hurt my curve and would be a terrible draw early on. Thoughts on those 2? I have also considered 1x Jotun Owl Keeper for after wrath of god effects/creature destruction. Do you think that paying his cumulative upkeep each turn would be wasteful since this is an aggro deck? I also considered 1x selesnya guildmage for the pump, 1x boros guildmage for first strike against other aggro decks, and 1x azorius guildmage for tapping other creatures. Do these three creatures deserve a spot or would they be lacking focus?
3. Right now it would seem as if paladin en-vec would be good because there are a lot of red and black decks out there. Do you think he should be mb or sb?
4. I have been practicing with these flash/bounce guys like stonecloaker and their abilities definitely come in handy. Would adding whitemane lion be overkill on the flash and bounce guys (already have 5 mb)?
5. For other spells I am unsure of devouring light, what are some of your thoughts on it? Do you think 2-3 bathe in light deserves a mb spot to save my creatures or let them swing through with ease? If I am not mistaken I can also make mono green aggro's enchantments fall off their guys with bathe in light, so it seems like it would be pretty good.
6. For other spells, I kind of think that there may need to be some more pump spells besides glorious anthem. What are your thoughts on griffin guide? Personally I am not a big fan of griffin guide, I would rather put in fortify. Thoughts on fortify?
7. Does ronom unicorn deserve a mb spot for the enchantments out there such as glare, sacred mesa, fetters, temporal isolation, etc?
Well sorry for making this so long, but any suggestions about my deck or any answers to some of my questions to help me improve my deck would be greatly appreciated. |

| Doh, guess I forgot to mention that I have celestial crusader somewhere in the mb, which means something else would need to come out. Any suggestions? |

| i tried playing with my own version of mono white weenie a month or so ago, so i could probably give u some suggestions. marytyr of sands works well with chronosavant, other than that i wouldnt really use those cards. yes chronosavant and crovax might hurt ur curve, so try white shield crusader as a late game finisher. pro black, plus pumping is alwasys good. if u dont wanna go the griffen guide route, u can try leonin skyhunters. also, for your sideboard, i think ronom unicorn might be a 2 or 3 of in there. not too many enchantements floating around right now, besides the usual. u might wanna side ghostway for wrath and damnation, and to get rid of opponensts enchantments of ur creatures. i also love to side opal guardian agianst other aggro decks. bathe in light is just a good card. yes it helps vs. mono green, or hurtful enchantments on ur guys, or lets ur guys get through against other mono colored decks. other than that, i think since u have glorious anthem mb, i dont think u need celstial crusader. i think paladin en vic better anyways. well thats my suggestions. so good luck. |

celestial crusader is good, u play it eot, and can't be countered
owl keeper is a good idea, if he sticks a few turns, he becomes annoying
I wouldn't add more bounce-guys, even tho they have their advantage, they're still a serious loss of tempo.
Azorious guildmage is worth the inclusion, but add 4 hallowed fountains as wel in that case.
mana tithe is not very good in ur deck, it's better in decks that have other counters that cause opponents to pay more (rune sng, mana leak)
martyr of sands is an auto-in, if u play it t1 vs an aggro deck, you've just won the game
the thing is, this format has 8 wraths, and WW just really can't handle that, ghostway blows |

Considering how the deck is going to win, fortify is a better pick than mana tithe. Draw mana tithe for the late game win, no. Fortify yes.
Fortify is janky but I think it fits your mono white specification. One of my firends has played a white weenie build in standard and extended and has surprised a number of opponents with a 4th or 5th turn fortify attack. |

You dont need mana tithe... and griffan guides can be killer.... dust elemental and stoen cloaker can be card disadvantage....4 claciderm is hot... 4 crusader is nice because dralnu cant do anythign abotu him...
Flagstones are cool and you can have neat tricks with ghostquarter flagstones.....
but also on that note.....

the wroship paladin/priest lock is might fine.... mono green does nothing...vers it.. the auto scooplol... so does mono black mono red mono blue might be able to pull it off dralnu cant do much... they can try to get the repeal... but meh...
the trickbinds and temporal isolation help your match upes vers Dragonstorm... you can isolate the dragons and take nothing... you go come into play effect on the stack isolate it... pwned!!!!!!!! trickbind helps otu too..
the Crovax and Chronosavant suck in this deck.. I cant believe you want to try it....

The only problem with isolation is they can block priest now but that also is not too big of a deal...
I have test many mono colored decks and this seems like one of the besst ones....

I should sb 3 Worship since its gg against Rakdos, MGA and many aggro decks.
Flagstones are essential, no doubt ---> 4 copies
Griffin Guide is amazing, it pumps a Soltari or a Paladin en-Vec and its so nice against WoG or Dammnation since u put a 2/2 flyer.
Ghostway is another freaking card against massive destruction, and nasty enchantments such as temporal isolation, faith's fetters, pacifism...
Mana Tithe sux a bit, if u want to play some counter play Rebuff the Wicked since its have the same cost and u can save a creature or ur Anthem. (but i dont like counterspells in aggro strategies)
I should sb 3 temp isolation against Dragonstorm, or WUR Control using it on Hellkites, Akromas, etc
I think Stonecloakers are a good sb against decks with Firemane Angel or with Resurrection removing a card that could be very annoying.
The 4th Calciderm is quite good, and at least 3 Celestial Crusaders are a nice choice.
U can also run some desert or quicksand, since Blood Knight can be a problem.
Serrated Arrows are a nice sb against Confidants or other aggro matchups.
Blue splash could be a good thing too. |

| Jotun Owl Keeper would work better with glorius anthem than griffin guide.... I'd run 3-4 of them. |
