ok now ive done as much testing as ive been able to due to the small amount of actual tsp block players atm.
// Lands
2 [TSP] Urza's Factory
7 [TSP] Swamp (1)
2 [TSP] Dreadship Reef
4 [TSP] Terramorphic Expanse
1 [PLC] Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
6 [TSP] Island (1)
1 [TSP] Academy Ruins
// Creatures
4 [PLC] Roiling Horror
3 [TSB] Twisted Abomination
4 [TSB] Shadowmage Infiltrator
// Spells
4 [TSP] Mindstab
4 [TSB] Funeral Charm
4 [TSP] Sudden Death
3 [TSP] Phyrexian Totem
4 [TSP] Prismatic Lens
4 [PLC] Circle of Affliction
3 [PLC] Damnation
// Sideboard
SB: 1 [PLC] Damnation
SB: 4 [TSP] Paradise Plume
SB: 3 [PLC] Treacherous Urge
SB: 4 [TSB] Swamp Mosquito
SB: 3 [TSP] Vesuvan Shapeshifter
the deck works on a slow clock however stalls like crazy. i dont know one deck that could kill this deck more then 50% of the time giving it atleast a fighting chance vs anything out there.
the removal in black is second to none however discard in this format is very powerful so mindstabs are very very good
mindstab + charm is almost hand sometimes
ive seriously thought about small pox in teh deck but theres just too many ld decks out there and on top of that there is just too many situations where its sub-par in a creature heavy format.
the best card in the deck would definitely be the circles as they stall and kill at the same time. they efectively win you the game vs weenie beats,any burn variant and will slow the game down long enough to stay alive generally
now the one thing people may be asking is about the swamp mosquito's in sb.
they along with doppelganger are in there vs other control decks. vs muc play him turn 2 and they will almost certainly lose.
with this deck i have played vs mga, muc, mba, red burn,rub suspend, dragon storm(too slow to combo in this format), ignite the warrens & white weenie. and i have won them all because i can slow their decks down long enough that it doesnt matter what they have done the attrition plain and simply takes em down.
roiling 6+ counters on him + circle generally means game.
howver you also have the factories for the win
give me some advise if you can im basically jsut juggling the sb around and have never found more removal is needed.
give me some help people finkel is hot in this deck btw |

rolling horror is too slow and generally bad
how do you cast morph on turn 2 exactly?
circle seems generally bad. |

um i didnt want a brine deck i want mbc wich coincidently is undefeated due to the REMOVAL and DISCARD. atrition is generally how i win due to the ligegain/life loss ratio.
have you played circe vs mwa??? or how about goblins??? or even how about mga. gee how about sacred mesa... the point is that it alows you to take their hits while still working towards killing them.
if you read that instead of skimming it you would have noticed i have swamp mosquito's in there that can be played turn 2 against anything without burn basically. |

Gossamer Phantasm is also a flying 2 drop that kills a control opponent in 10 turns. It sucks just as much as Swamp Mosquito. If they don't have A: a flying creature B: any removal spells or C: some way of locking it down in the first TWELVE turns, then they are playing a terrible deck.
Every single good deck will play removal because of Fortune Thief being in the format. Therefore, Swamp Mosquito will never do anything useful. At least Gossamer Phantasm will get a few damage in before it dies. Even if Swamp Mosquito hits 9 times, if it never hits the 10th time it's completely worthless. |
