Dear listeners,
Throughout my tournament driven magic playing days I picked up alittle format called highlander, or singleton at wotc calls it. If you don't know what it is,it's a format where there is only one of every card in a persons deck, the exception being basic lands. "In true highlander it's one of every card period."
Anyways to get to the point recently i've been digging around for exceptional cards that might make my deck break through as THE highlander deck to build. Foiling it out ect. Anyways I wanted to know what everyone thought of it. If there are any changes that needed to made to the deck in order to make it truly effective. I don't run jitte, but I could, ECT. Is the land base ok? Give me some imput, but be nice and don't knock on highlander because all it will do is make u look like the A** who made fun of a formated deck.

Is not going to happen. Light and shadow works in snc with the deck. As a SMALL example.
Plainscycle eternal dragon damage on the stack.
Damage resolve return dragon.
or Eternal witness back to hand,
grab diabolic intent.
Jitte is amazing, but Sword of light and shadow is a card that makes this deck amazing. It turns serra avenger into a permanant 4/4 pro black pro white creature with vigilance and flying for a total cost of four mana.
Jitte also has to activate and continously be effective, and I don't always draw creature after creature since less then a 1/3 of the deck is creatures. |

Your deck is really confused. It has these aggro elements in the form of imsamaru, and watch wolf, than all sorts of board sweepers to kill them. Chrome mox doesnt seem to belong, should probably just be a signet or something.
Also anything with oversold cemetary should also have braids. Seems like its missing Tusker, kodama's reach, angel of despair, farseek, and i think kokusho is strictly better than laquatus.
Just some thoughts.
Also 21 lands is not enough to run this deck. I would seriously consider running 24, with some bounce lands. You will never cast akroma on 21. |
