Yea, so I decided to build a combo deck based around Null Profusion (aka the black recycle) from planar chaos. It functions pretty well, and has good synergy with a lot of cards. This is the current list I have (keep in mind this deck is new):
1 Volcanic Island
1 Badlands
4 Polluted Delta
2 Bloodstained Mire
1 Underground Sea
3 Swamp
3 Island
4 Priest of Gix
4 Seething Song
1 Mind's Desire
3 Null Profusion
3 Infernal Tutor
2 Sins of the Past
1 Tendrils of Agony
4 Chromatic Sphere
4 Chromatic Star
4 Cabal Ritual
3 Infernal Contract
3 Burning Wish
1 Mana Severence
4 Duress
4 Dark Ritual

Sideboard:
1 Tendrils of Agony
1 Mind's Desire
1 Sins of the Past
1 Infernal Contract
1 Mana Severence
1 Shattering Spree
1 Pyroclasm
1 Imperial Seal
4 Tormod's Crypt
3 Unmask

I find this deck to be amazing. The only problem with it is that it’s only running 2 minds desire between main and side. This is a very powerful card and you want lots of them. Minds Desire has been a format breaking card for 1.5 for a long time now, and I think that this deck will make it unbeatable. Please look up your 1.5 history before judging this deck, Minds desire is powerful, devastating, and all out broken. I have been playing 1.5 for 7 years now, and have been dealing with Desire for a long time, don’t underestimate its ultimate power.

The only real way that you will be able to abuse a card like Null Profusion in Legacy is to bring it into play via Academy Rector.

Also, as someone who has actually played Legacy since Dragon ran rampant, Mind's Desire was NEVER legal in the format!

you know what? I had to look up that desire wasn't legal in legacy because I don't play much sanctioned tournaments.

I think it's really stupid that so many people are hating on this guy and that it's a trend to hate on or grief anyone out there that doesn't agree with the "good" player's definition of what "good" actually is. Some of us aren't in school any more, some of us still play this for fun, and that minority, as much as it may be a minority on this site, actually reads this stuff and thinks "When are these jerks actually going to grow up and actually stop hating on others in the room?"

to the webmaster/site owner:

I actually think these forums should be a lot more moderated than usual, that way the idiots would be filtered out of them. By idiots, I mean people flaming each other out over silly stuff like this. Surely you've got to realize that this is actually doing more harm than good?

rrrrright, so according to this thread black lotus is legal in legacy, and wait...its not even restricted. mind's desire could also be played as a 4-0f no probs. and then in the sideboard there is another piece of art. imperial seal!!! if these cards would be legal then A. the format would be for more broken then vintage. B. there would be much better decks te be build with them.
cheerio!

i'm sorry, but this is my first attempt at a legacy deck. I have no prior experience with the format, and as such do not know the ins and outs of it, including some of the banned cards. I figured that they were legal because they appeared when I filtered for legacy. This is my new list with the new knowledge i have about the banned cards:

// Lands
1 [R] Volcanic Island
1 [B] Badlands
4 [ON] Polluted Delta
2 [ON] Bloodstained Mire
1 [R] Underground Sea
3 [TSP] Swamp (2)
3 [U] Island (1)

// Creatures
4 [US] Priest of Gix

// Spells
4 [MR] Seething Song
3 [PC] Null Profusion
3 [DIS] Infernal Tutor
2 [RAV] Sins of the Past
1 [SC] Tendrils of Agony
4 [IN] Chromatic Sphere
4 [TSP] Chromatic Star
4 [TO] Cabal Ritual
3 [7E] Infernal Contract
3 [JU] Burning Wish
2 [TE] Mana Severance
4 [7E] Duress
4 [MI] Dark Ritual

// Sideboard
SB: 1 [RAV] Sins of the Past
SB: 1 [SC] Tendrils of Agony
SB: 1 [TE] Mana Severance
SB: 1 [8E] Pyroclasm
SB: 4 [TSB] Tormod's Crypt
SB: 1 [GP] Shattering Spree
SB: 3 [MM] Unmask
SB: 3 [7E] Delusions of Mediocrity

Good catch. Although Mind's Desire is not legal in Legacy, MWS's deck legality checker fails to note that when you check to see if the deck is legal in Legacy. In fact, the legality checker doesn't even work at all for Legacy.
