I got ripped off by magic source online, would never recommend going there... Anyway, I finally got refunded thanks to a paypal investigation, so I have about $40 in my account I'm using as an excuse to buy cards (maybe spend a little more than that). I'm trying to get more into Extended and Legacy, so I think I'm going to buy 4 of a fancy card good for those formats. But which one? Here are some I had in mind...i don't have any copies of any of these.

chrome mox
fetchlands (i don't own any, probably get flooded strand or wooded foothills)
sword of fire and ice
pithing needle
meddling mage
force of will
grim lavamancer
original duals (probably taiga, plateau, or tundra)
pernicious deed
vindicate
wishes (which one?)

or i could get some slightly cheaper cards, like cabal therapy, i had some others in mind but they escape me..just good expensive old uncommons.

suggestions?

I'll recomend tou to get the hardest ones to get by changing.

so that will be Meddling Mage and wooded foothils, and obviously get a set of taigas they are the best ones Wink

I am leaving towards Taigas/Foothills, cuz I love RG and those are all I need to finish a rl copy of Zilla Stompy. I only need SoFI and some Moxes for Angel Stompy, too, though. For extended, right now I'm playing Affinity, but I'd like to build Rock (I need deeds and baloths and confidants) and maybe solution (tough to play with no fetchlands and no meddling mages and pithing needles..)

Get x4 Chimney Imp obv, dumb n00b...OK I'm just kidding.
I agree with what these people said, your best bet is with duals or fetchies.

I would buy a set of fetchlands. They can be used in a ton of decks, as opposed to some of the more limited use cards in your list. Also, they will work well with multilands you aqcuire later.

Get fetchlands (especially Flooded Strand), Pithing Needles, Meddling Mage/FoW (depends on which format you'll play more of, if 1.x, MM 1st, if Legacy, FoW 1st), then duals. These cards will open up more competitive decks than any other cards on your list.

On second thought, if you play more Legacy than 1.x, get the Pithing Needles after Force of Will, but before Meddling Mage.

Oh, and you will have to toss in a few extra bucks to get four of most anything on your list. Yeah, it sucks, but hey, at least you'll have them. I used to think $20 for a Lotus was ridiculous. Hindsight and all that.

Disposable enemas and some tranny hookers 4tw.

Maybe some fetchlands when you are done with the enemas and whores. What deck are you trying to make? Save you money for the new set or something.

Go for affinity. It will be swell now with the new Berserk and nothing in it rotates next Extended. It is also very useable in legacy.
