I know this has probably been said a few times before, but I felt like voicing my opinions about it.

I keep seeing quite a number of trial tournaments listed as 2 PM on week days and 10 am on week ends. To me, this just seems a bit off.

On week days, myself and a lot of others go to school or work, and thus are pretty much tied up from morning till afternoon. I am actually unlucky enough to work till 6 :/

As for weekends, since I work Monday-Friday, I like to sleep in just a tiny bit saturday. The problem is I have desires to play in trials, but getting up just to play in a PTQ is hard enough, let alone a ML trial tournament.

I was wondering if it would be totally off to ask for a great portion of the trials to start at, say, 6pm on week days and maybe noon on weekends. If a trial has about 120 people, this would mean about a 7-8 hour ordeal I imagine. Although it would run a little late on week days, the majority of people would be done playing before their bed time anyway due to it being single elimination. As for weekends, well, it's the weekend. Id much more welcome playing in a trial from 12-8 than 10-6... both are going to ruin the whole saturday, but why not get a little more sleep before hand Smile

Oh well, Im sure this is just crap anyway. Thanks if you read Razz

Thing is there is also a lot of people in thsi league that are not in your timezone. Polls have shown that the current used times make the biggest portion of leagueplayers happy. Sorry that you are one of the people that are actually disadvantaged by these times.

The trials I have been able to join (ones starting at like 6 or 7) always seem to have quite a good amount of people, so I dont know what the issue is with just having a couple more then rather than 2 pm when the entire US is at work and school Razz

I understand that people play from various time zones. I don't dispute that at all. It makes sense that you would have a decent amount of tournaments starting at 2 PM EST aka 7ish in Europe(?).

It just seems like perhaps it should be split up a little better between US and Europe times. Perhaps have 1 trial be 2PM, the next 6PM, etc.

Well I'm sure they do their best to have trials for every region but if one region has more players they'll do more trials for those regions. And there must also be a judge that can be there for the whole trial.

Korbac that's not funny at all.

They wan't to please the european players too obviously. But it does seem like there is more trials starting and 10am and 2pm then 6pm Sad

Ya. Someone mentioned a poll in another post. I think they should have one of these often to see where their players are more coming from. I know I see a lot of US/Central+South America players, but also a lot of European.

So I guess it would be a bit more democratic to make sure the player base is closer to 50/50 before splitting all the trials in the way I previously mentioned. This kind of poll, however, should be conducted often, and made clear to all members (perhaps as a main page news post and topic in channel) so everyone can get in their fair vote Smile

Well yea, a portition of them range from 19:00 to 21:00 weekdays here, and the others are like 1:00 to 3:00, ones I simply can't participate. This way, Europeans can at least play in some of the trials, even though winning one means staying up until 2:00 or so anyways, and that's for the ones starting over the evening. Only the weekend times really seem to be rational for Europeans, ending possibly before 0:00. Make them any later and nobody around GMT+2 or later will really be able to play outside weekends.

The fact is that they try to make it so that as large a number of league members as possible can play in any given Trial and Masters, there just happen to be players all over the world, which makes it rather hard to time them properly. This system offers at least some trials for everyone.

Why not have two or more trials a day? One to service Europeans and Americans.
