Usually magic-league has a cycle of mainstream formats for trials. This Christmas, however, in the true spirit of kindness, we want you to pick the format. Only this trial won't be the same monotonous Extended, Sealed, or Standard tournament; you get to pick from some formats that don't always get the spotlight. So think it over and select the format you want to try out Smile.

yeah gfo are all the other 'other' formats being excluded..?

I guess I'm voting Mindmaster then, although people better brush up on their knowledge of the rules first or else it'll be really crappy.

I'm pretty sure BYOB has a banned list =p If not then Urza's BLock should be excluded, and tempest too probably.

honestly byot2/b would be the funnest and easiest because it's not TOO loony and people preconstruct their decks, so they'll actually have to prepare for it and there won't be as much confusion as mindmaster where you constantly ask yourself 'huh what does this do??'

and chaos is lame

Change my mindmaster vote to King's magic

Dv8r convinced me that it's fun; like so:

<Wiley> why's it fun?
<dv8r> because you have no easy answers
<dv8r> to basic cards
<dv8r> wrath of god counts as good spot removal
<dv8r> there is no compulsive research
* Rubarb has joined #Other
<dv8r> or small creatures (besides savannah lions)
<Wiley> haha
<dv8r> so you have to use overblown ott effects
<dv8r> to win
<Wiley> now that I think about it it does sound fun
<dv8r> disenchant? no you have to use
<dv8r> ummm
<Wiley> hide/seek
<dv8r> that's uncommon
<Wiley> is it?
<Wiley> shit son
<dv8r> yeah
<Wiley> well you can still use it
<dv8r> oo
<dv8r> crime/punishment
<dv8r> would work

I voted peasant, but would have really appreciated Highlander, if it were among the choices.
