Heartbeat is less resilient, if anything. Hit heartbeat with one well-place Cabal Therapy and they're screwed, as opposed to Ritual Desire that can actually defend itself with its own Duress/Therapy. Plus Ritual-Desire can get much faster wins. There's a reason it's been winning trials recently.

Are all of you stupid?! Ritual Desire is played because of Gaea's Blessing!

Opponent: I play Brain Freeze and 33 copies
Me: Reveal Gaea's Blessing
Me: I win

Wow never amazes me how bad some people are Sad

Obv you can brain freeze in resp to the trigger then deck them with an instant draw spell its not that hard when you run remands to remand back brain freezes.

I think people play Ritual desire because its the new thing and pplaying Heartbeat on MWS is a bitch.

Well seeing as how all this time we barely saw any hearbeat combos and in the little while which ritual desire has been out it has done much better i would say that ritual version is better... but then again meddling mage and other such sht >combo anyways

A brainfreeze for 33 is actually 11 brainfreezes for 3. So, if you reveal a Gaea's Blessing on the 7th freeze, a triggered ability is put on the stack, and resolves before the other 4 freezes. So Oedipus is right 10 out of 11 times.

Now of course, if the Gaea's Blessing is in the bottome 3 cards of the library, then WickedWizard and Stryfe are correct. Of course, I think we can all read between the lines and realize WickedWizard and Stryfe were both just completely incorrect.
