Ok I have another question about a scenerio that happened and I want to know if it was resolved the way it should have been.
I was playing a mono R LD deck with vore. My opponent was using a slower akroma deck, but didn't have akroma out(just to clarify this isn't a pro-red ?)What happened was I had my magnivore out and it was an 6/6 then I played a wildfire dealing 4 damage to each creature but gave it the +1/+1 boost from wildfire resolving. My opponent told me that since my magnivore was dealt damage when I went to attack he said it only dealt three of the seven damage possible.
My understanding would be that dealing damage to it would have no affect on how much damage the creature would deal unless specified somewhere.(i.e. creatures deal no damage this turn or prevent the next _ damage this turn)
Who is right?
Thanx for any and all help! |

Who tf said that? That is like the biggest lie about Magic rules I have aver seen. Of course your Magnivore would deal all 7 damage!!! Damage affects the power, not the toughness.
EDIT: Vice versa, of course
And for rules question there is judges4you |

Like Crosis I can tell you that either your opponent is a filthy liar, or just really really stupid.
Did you know that if you wildfire while there are only four sorceries in all graveyards, that it still lives? |

Thanx for the help I thought I was right but I didn't want to be wrong and be called a cheater or such so Iwent with the ol' defense calls it rule since I wasn't 100% sure on it. Either way I had won and if I could have attacked for the whole 7 dmg I would have won right there.
thanx again. |

| I'm sure it was an honest mistake by a newer player. Just make sure if this happens in a league game or a tournament to ask a judge in judges4you. That's what they're there for. |

The Magnivore lives. Your opponent was wrong. Probably just an honest mistake.
Next time, go to Judges4you. |
