//NAME: Blinkmoth Staff
// Lands
4 Breeding Pool
4 Blinkmoth Nexus
6 Island
8 Forest
// Spells
4 Memory Lapse
4 Mana Leak
3 Lay of the Land
3 Sylvan Scrying
3 Thirst for Knowledge
4 Standstill
3 Farseek
4 Remand
// Artifacts
3 Chrome Mox
1 Goblin Charbelcher
4 Proteus Staff
// Creatures
1 Darksteel Colossus
1 Akroma, Angel of Wrath

Alright, so I am sure lots of you know what this deck does already, but if you don't here it goes.

Proteus Staff your Blinkmoth to go through your deck for the top creature, either Akorma or Darksteel Colossus. Simple right. Well counters are to slow them down. Sylvan Scrying to make sure you get a Blinkmoth Nexus and Goblin Charbelcher incase you draw both your creatures. With the staff and no creatures in the deck you can stack your whole deck however you want with Goblin Belcher on top and then Belcher them for as much as you want.

I had a deck like this when nearly everything was Type 2 (Colossus, Nexus, Staff, Charbelcher, Scrying, Thirst) and it was horrible.

It won't get any better when it's in extended.

well it does get extra things when it enters this new format (DUH)
and Proteus Blue was a great deck when it was T2 legal

lol
well ill say this
the deck was good when i piloted it
and i saw a few others pilot it to a good amount of success
so if you think it wasnt all that good
you must have seen bad players pilot it

I think this is a decent deck that needs a little tinkering.

I can see that you have Lay of the Land just incase you dont have the Island you need to activate the staff and after that it's fodder for your mox. But I think that it is useless mid-game. How about something like Sprout instead. Same cost and fodder potential plus it'll give you a quick creature for your staff and an instant blocker if needed. Very quick decks will be your main consern, so I recommend Trinisphere to slow down fast aggro, Mind's Desire and burn. Bounce will also be trouble, but the counters should take take of that long enough.
