4 Goblin Warchief
4 Goblin Piledriver
4 Mogg War Marshall
4 Skirk Prospector
3 Goblin Matron
3 Goblin Ringleader
2 Sparksmith
2 Gempalm Incinerator
2 Seige-Gang Commander
1 Goblin Sharpshooter
1 Goblin King
1 Ib-Halfheart Goblin Tactician
4 Burning Wish
3 Duress
5 Mountain
4 Wooded Foothills
4 Bloodstained Mire
4 Blood Crypt
2 Sacred Foundry
2 Swamp
1 Goblin Burrows
//Sideboard
3 Umezawa's Jitte
3 Patriarch's Bidding
3 Cover of Darkness
1 Beacon of Unrest
1 Bond of Agony
1 Cabal Therapy
1 Haunting Echoes
1 Persecute
1 Vindicate
The deck's Biggest Problem is COP:Red, hence vindicate in the side. Also takes care of troublesome Pro Red Guys.
The card that really makes the deck is cover of darkness. With Black creatures in decline, cover of darkness basically means 1B: your creatures cannot be blocked.
I need help with the Mana base, The goblin package and the SB. Please post any suggestions. |

I've thought about Lightning Helix and Goblin Legionarre. The problem with RW cards in the MD is that I have to get a really solid mana base to be able to cast those and Duress.
It still could work real well, but the only reason i run white as of now is as a solution to COP: Red. |

| imo I really think you should dedicate more white to this deck. Legionnaire is a house by himself seeing as he can take down a 4/4 such as baloth just by himself if blocked which makes your opponents second guess blocking him and the fact he can save a piledriver or warchief if need be later in the game which by the looks of things you r deck does better than a normal goblin build, he also allows for an extra mage target depending on your opponent and forcing them to call that when he is in play in order for him to stay in play really sets them back instead of them calling something like sgc, sparksmith, gempalm, or sharpshooter. Also yes lightning helix is great addition having that little extra burn can always help especially against equally fast decks for some removal or to simply burn cards in the case of mongrel or tog. You may want to consider sudden shock also seeing as it just stops mongrel and tog in their tracks and also allows for some uncounterable damage that you may not be able to push through late game against lets say scepter/chant or something to that effect. |

Goblin legionarre is a really good card and I really want to incorporate him into the deck. Also, Lightning Helix is excellent removal with lifegain to put you ahead of other aggro decks. The problem is, I feel that being able to burning wish for Bidding/Haunting Echoes is a very important part of the deck.
With that in mind, I'm trying to find a stable mana base that can support two splashes. The biggest problem is going to be the BB in Pat's Bidding. Here's the mana base I'm testing now:
7 Mountain
4 Bloodstained Mire
3 Blood Crypt
3 Gemstone Mine
2 City of Brass
1 Sacred Foundry
1 Swamp
1 Mountain
(22 land)
Might seem a little steep on lands for a goblin deck, but better safe than sorry. Also, I can wish for some powerful spells to establish control, so I'm not too worried.
Someone help me out by suggestin' a strong goblin package.
With so many good goblins available in extended, the creature package is obviously the strength of the deck. Alot of powerful synergies that most people overlook (Goblin Goon + Mogg War Marshal, sharpshooter + legionnare, etc). Lemme hear some people's Goblin packages for that mana base. Or if you got a better mana base, show it to me. |
