I built a UB control deck for ext and it works pretty well
but one thing that worries me is that if affinity gets an even mediocre start its hard for me to beat them.
Are there any good hosers for affinity in U or B?
Suggestions would greatly help. Thanks in advance

im not really sold on that at all
for 1BB infest does the same thing
altho u dont draw a card
but the reason infest hasnt worked is cuz they can jus pump the ravager or have myr enforcer jus shrug off the 2

Annul, March of the Machines, Spell snare, or just splash white for kataki and disenchant. With Duals and fetches, it's not very hard, Flooded Strand->Polluted delta-->Hallowed fountain-->Watery grave.

I have 4 ideas but i am not sure if they work! and in 1 case if you get the mana fast enough.

First is Tsabos Decree (expensive wrath?) calling for Artifact as a creature Type?

Darkest Hour i am not sure if they still count as artifacts i guess so, would be to great otherwise Sad

Ensnaring Bridge? depends if you can play your hand out fast enough i guess not.

Imi Statue + pithing Needle + Sudden death(maybe play sudden death over smother i think its just ways better)

Engineered Explosives set to 0 (land), 1 (acceleration), or 2 (threats). Granted, it doesn't hit everything, but you can deal with things alot easier when they only have one permanent.

how was that a 'snidey little comment'? It actually seemed like a legidiment answer. It isnt like U/B has many affinity hosers

as for the 2 dudes before me, artifact isnt a creature type and engineered explosives doesnt hit lands

Oops, yeah... I stand corrected.

Um... I guess I'd say spalsh green, then. >_<

Really, Deed is just such a house, and there are so many other options opened up by just splashing green into a control deck. It's not so much changing the entire basis of the deck, so much as adding to it's repertiore.

Splashing is easy with fetches and a single hallowed fountain.
